First caller doesn't want to talk to either Coach, asks to be put back on hold until Marrow is on...

Second caller keeps saying Coach Thompson

Eddie Gran is kooky as hell and he sounds just like Frank Caliendo doing Jon Gruden

Loved Coach Thomas. Just what this staff needed in my opinion. Plenty of uptight coaching. Need someone that has been there and done that at the highest level that can relate to this generation. I believe we have found him in Coach Thomas. Love Gran's intensity and Marrow's passion. Once again, for the 50th year in a row, I am optimistic about the upcoming season. P.S. Running out of seasons to be optimistic. Hope this is the one. :cool2::pimp::football::football::football::football::football:

That's what scares me the most.
Well, I hate to break the news to you but UK has had some GREAT coaches in the past. In 1959-60 we had Blanton Collier, who went on to win an NFL championship as HC of the Browns. DON SHULA, only undefeated Super Bowl winner. Howard Schnellengerger who built the U into a power and won a NC. John North who became HC at New Orleans. And all the other Assistants were either NFL assistants or scouts. Read the SI blurb about it in my avatar to the left .

Great stuff. Thomas was funny and I am sure the players will love and respect him not only for his personality but his past football success during the time he played.

I was an asst baseball coach for 20 years and there is a fine line you have to walk with being the kids friend and still being able to lay down the law. It is very difficult at times, just listening to Lamar on the show...i bet he struggles with that

I listened to the replay which is a great way to listen becasue the commercials are edited out. Saves time also 43 minutes per each part.

General impressions, a lot of this was the coaches he-hawing around about non-football stuff. I think the format would have been much better if Ryan moderated the thing and kept it on topic. I would say out of the 2 hours there was probably less than 30 minutes of actual football stuff.

On the positive side the tone of the coaches was extremely positive. I learned that these coaches all have a lot more history with each other than I had realized before. They are very enthusiastic about each other which is very important, and they seem to really enjoy their jobs here. Coach Thomas was going crazy about the new facilities.

As for any news, none really but a couple of things, Coach Thomas is REALLY excited about Kayaune Ross
He thinks he will be huge this year. Also he is putting the onus on Ryan Timmons to be the leader of the receiving corp and thinks he is stepping up big time. He also thinks Barker looks really good but "will be tested". Funniest line was when Thomas said that "we have enough receiver depth that they can't hold me hostage". "If they have a drop they are coming out of the game".

Any links to the replays.
