Maybe he will discuss how Dean Smith and Ole Roy have cheated at UNC for 20 years and how the student athletes were robbed of their educations with bogus classes and degrees...How they should vacate 3 titles and about 500 wins......(bet that doesn't happen)
I'm not a fan of his attention span, or lack thereof either, but I can't help but feel that you're ever-so-slightly exaggerating. Will Coach K come up? Of course, but let's not act like UK doesn't come up in 90% of college basketball games, period. Pitino make come up one or two times, but sometimes, they have interesting conversations about what's going on around CBB. He'll speak about the game, clearly, probably in a more irritating way, albeit, but he'll speak about the game.
I would imagine that you understand what's going on out on the floor without him telling you every little detail though.

The difference in Cal and UK coming up during most games and coach K and Duke is that UK is relevant and obviously the best team in basketball right now in his season. Dickie V pipes Duke and K even when they're not so great or when they're getting smashed by 15 seeds in he tournament. When we had our NIT season, you didn't really hear anything about Kentucky unless we were playing.

Well he won't be actually calling the game. He will be talking about anything but the game. How many times will we hear about Coach K and his quest for 1000?
I would guess that if you took every word he said in a broadcast, less than 50% would actually be about the game he was doing color on.

i have to ask how do you do that and not have them off sync . It always seem like the radio is a few seconds ahead of the tv so i can only use one of the media forms at a time. Do you just not care about thats it outta sync? I am curious as i would love to do this but don't b/c of this.
No, you don't understand. Cal and UK coming up in games from non-power 5 conferences, between two teams that are irrelevant to UK in any way, shape, or form. There's no purpose in speaking about Kentucky lol.
And as far as any ACC game being played with a team not named Virginia or maybe Duke, right now, Kentucky probably shouldn't be discussed. Only with them because they're possible title contenders.
Coach K is just as relevant because whether you like the fact or not (and I do not), K is winningest active coach in the game right now, he's about to achieve a milestone, and his team is very solid this season. I know if all this talk was about Cal, every one of us would be euphoric for our coach.
You get to watch Kentucky basketball. Be happy with that, it's not like you'll have to hear about K very often.
My dad has the Alzhiemers. Every time I talk to him on the phone, it is a repeat of the day befor. He has certain things that we talk about, like the weather. Maybe Dickie V HAS THE SAME PROBLEM BECAUSE HE TALKS ABOUT THE SAME THING EVERY BALL GAME THAT HE DOES.
