The smaller schools are going to really, really, really hate the new transfer rules. I quite literally think we should set up EKU as our AAA team.
Good player, but better options should be available.
Who knows if he's interested, but if I'm Cal I give the guy a call.
Yeah, he looks good against Furman, but Askew would most likely show out against that kind of competition.

This is the kind of guy who would be supplementing a great roster, which we don't have. So its hard to get too excited.
Parham is a good player, and I think he would be a good fit at UK. He would look good alongside Mintz. But the problem this off season is there are going to be so many good transfer options that you have to worry about offering somebody before you know who else is going to be available. On the other hand, it's risky to pass up good players that you know would make your team better.
For example, is Parham better than Alex Barcello, Max Abmas or Antoine Davis? Would Barcello come back for a 5th year to give himself a shot professionally? Would Abmas or Davis transfer for a higher profile? This is going to be an off season where knowledge is paramount. Hope Calipari and his coaches are ahead of the curve on the transfer scene.

Who knows? With this new transfer rule I can see these type players wanting to play at bigger colleges.. I wish though. His tapes are nice.. Dropped 36 on case Cunningham.
We know he can shoot it and can contribute to a college team, but does he have the shuttle time to be a first-rounder? Pathetic.
Watch the kids vids.. he pulls up well beyond the NBA 3 with ease.... This is the type of kid Cal needs to target after this season..
When is the date that they have to say if they are going to transfer and is there a cut off date ?
Yeah but what’s his wingspan? Where’s he projected in the NBA draft?
Thinking the same thing, I don't know if Askew could score 27pts in 4 games regardless of competition.

Similar to this former VMI player who went to Georgia Tech and has basically been a mediocre player

The Isaiah miller from uncg looks like a potential 2 guard. Has a lot of john wall to his game. Kid would be a star a UK.
Man, this Max Abmas kid is impressive to watch. Look how fast he gets his shot off. Seems to have the ball on a string, is very quick and seems to have a high bb iq.

I would take it !! But if not athletic enough, Cal wouldn't play him more than 10mpg, if that.
This no sit-out transfer stuff has me wondering, what if had that 10 years (or so) ago, and Steph Curry had transferred out of Davidson.
Don't know why the kid wouldn't be a second rounder.
Mid major has nothing to do with draft stock.
Guarantee you he's been scouted probably by every team in the league.
With a stat line like that, if he's not a pro prospect then he has a fatal flaw physically ala Reid Travis that prevents him from being in the league.
After Reid, Nate and Davion being in the program can Cal really sell the "Kentucky Effect" to grad transfers anymore?

I think Cal has to continue to fill in the gaps with grad transfers AND recruit program guys like Askew, Mintz, Brooks, Ware, Fletcher, Hickman and Hopkins.
It's going to take a few years for the transformation to take place, so getting good transfers in, that don't have to sit, will be huge.
If Cal can get the right pieces back off this team and add an elite pg to go along with the 4 new guys, we could be pretty good, assuming we don't have another injury. Seems like that happens every year.
Who knows, maybe there will be a couple of surprise sophomores next year. We're in uncharted waters right now.
