Kind of a random contest, but an NU grad Staff Sergeant Parker Gaims wrote a "Wildcat March" that was performed by the Northwestern Symphonic Wind Ensemble and is entered into a Marine Corps contest. Link below if you would like to vote to support - scroll down to Game 31 on the bottom left (it's in the final) and you can click to vote there. The march is pretty cool - basically has a version of the alma mater running through it in march form alternating with a different theme, they get tied together toward the end.

Every year, the United States Marine Band holds "March Mania" - an NCAA style tournament in which pairs of marches are pitted against one another and voted on by the people in order to determine a winner!
This year, we are proud to announce that "Wildcat March", a piece written specially for Dr. Thompson and the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and composed by SWE Alum Parker Gaims, is included in the tournament and has won every match-up! We have one last battle!
We need YOU and as many friends as you can muster to visit https://www.marineband.marines.mil/Educational/Sousas-March-Mania/ on Thursday, March 31st (Yes, that's TODAY) and vote to ensure that "Wildcat March" defeats Fuzcik's "Entry of The Gladiators"!
