Done. And I will repeat what I said in other thread.

Out of Carter and Wyatt only one needed OT to beat his opponents and has less pins. And it's not Wyatt. It should be his award to lose.

I wrote in Surber. Feel bad for his terrible effort.
His effort wasn’t terrible. His results were.

I can assure you that you can’t imagine the pain that guy has. He had an AA year, and isn’t an AA and will never be one. His efforts should be commended.

I’ll miss him in the lineup, he gave us all much to talk about. He deserved the distinction.

My quote was in jest. I enjoyed watching him this year too. I felt like I saw big improvements in him and he seemed injury free for the most part. You could see his disappointment on his face when departing at the airport. Both he and Spratley did not look very excited to be there.

No worries.

But yes, they were both disappointed, but Luke is truly broken hearted I think. Sad result for a good Cowboy!

Fan voting is now open! Send it to everyone you know!
I made a spreadsheet with the WIN magazine data and came up with the following:

Here are the Categories: 2025 NCAA qualifiers, 2025 All-Americans, Former NCAA champs & Former All-Americans.
Further subdivided by: Win, Dec, Major, Tech, Fall, Def & Bonus (for 7)
And by each of those divided by Wins for: Dec %, Major %, Tech, Fall %, Def % & Bonus % (for 6 and a total of 13)

That gives us 52 possible points (4 x 13) whoever all are not filled as in, no one had a fall against a Former Nation Champion, etc... (In case of a tie I gave ½ point)

Mitchell Mesenbrink had 2 Count wins and 3 Percentage wins for 5 Total
Carter Starocci had 5 Count wins and 5 Percentage wins for 11 Total
Wyatt Hendrickson had 10 Count wins and 6 Percentage wins for 16 Total

Wyatt doubled CS’s Count and won the Percentage by one and had 5x MM’s Count and doubled his Percentage. It’s pretty obvious who had the best year and was the most dominating.

I hope all my numbers are correct by even if they are off by 25% Wyatt is the clear winner.

Addendum: Add the two PSU (per split vote) and it's 10 to 7 on Count and 6 to 8 on Percent. That's still a one point win.

Bruh the whole Flo bats for Carter. They bring up Shultz reversing Wyatt when he was injured in Big 12 finals once, but they dust of Carter going to OT twice! Carter vs keck both games, literally stalled the whole regulation.

Like going to OT literally mean you are not able to get it done in regulation time. Twice! And they so conveniently forget about Carter being reason for losing a team point acting like an idiot. Sportsmanship is one of the criteria still!

I have never seen such a biased group man.

Pyles did briefly skim over Carter's lack of sportsmanship, but it was clear he doesn't care about it. And yeah, he acted like failing to get it done in regulation is meaningless.

I totally agree. He all but admitted he is considering past performance, which is not one of the criteria. If you are just going to blow off the criteria and vote for whoever you want, you should have your vote yanked.

I also love how they pretend like all bonus point wins are equal and ignore the fact that Wyatt is getting a pin more often than any other outcome. Pins are much more valuable than majors in both tournaments and duals. They are also the most dominant and exciting thing you can do in wrestling. But those clowns don't even mention that. Wyatt scored way more points for OSU in duals than Carter did for PSU. He also scored 26 points to Carter's 24 in a more difficult bracket at NCAAs. There is zero question who the more dominant wrestler was this year between the two.

Wyatt's pins >>>> Carter's boring major decisions.
