Saw that he’s been out the past two games with an undisclosed injury. How long before the injury report is made available before our game Tuesday night?

They have some bangers down low, I think we can get back cuts on them and pull them away from the basket.

One site said it was a lower body injury which happened during the Texas game. Buzz probably sat him in the Alabama game so he could rest up for the UK game. LOL! Will have to contain him. Saw that he is averaging ~15 ppg.

It is time to get on board and ride the train to victory.

Btw, Taylor scored 32 in SEC Tournament against us.
Oh I remember it quite well. With about 10 minutes left in that game I told my wife it was over. She was like there is plenty of time. I was like we have Poole over here trying to screw us as a ref, Taylor is shredding us and we can’t stop a fence post. Cal went back to his damn plow ball and it looked like we hadn’t even seen T A&M play one minute on tape.

Wade Taylor IV has been playing so long, I think there is already a Wade Taylor V and a Wade Taylor VI already in high school.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think he’s one of the most overrated players in the country. Every once in a while, he’ll get hot and have a huge game, which unfortunately happened twice against us last year. For the most part though, he’s an extreme volume shooter who gets too much credit for having a good points per game average on a team that mostly succeeds due to defense and offensive rebounds. Shooting 39% from the floor overall and 34% from 3 on over 12 shots per game this year is not special at all, and it’s actually a small improvement over last year when he had 37%/33% shooting splits on 16 attempts per game.

All that to say that I’m not sure he moves the needle quite as much as people think. They’ll still be a threat if he doesn’t play. We can still beat them even if he does.

He is the same thing as Jaxson Robinson. He is a shot chucker, who is either nuclear hit, or ice cold.

I think your post is mostly correct. Texas A&M plays a different style of basketball. The emphasis is on driving the ball, make the bucket, or get the foul, or miss and tap out for an offensive rebound.

Wade is very much a part of the equation and his absence is significant. It would be great if he made it for the game, but I’m guessing he’s on the bench.

If you guys don’t play defense like some posters suggest, then the Wildcats will find themselves in foul trouble. BUT, no worries there — we can’t seem to be able to shoot from charity stripe.

Would love for the Aggies to win (without Wade) just don’t see it. And for the record, Wade has only played for A&M and this is his 4th year. He is a stand up kid although your comment on him being “an extreme volume shooter” can be too true. Some of his shots can only be described as aspirationaly cringy.

Why is a Duke fan posting about A&M? I’m an Aggie by marriage… not that anyone on this board gives two sh!ts…

Hoping for a win, but just not seeing it at Rupp.

I'm not saying he won't play or won't hurt us, but Hubbard killed us last year and didn't thus year. So who knows what Taylor will do against this year's team.

We receive the worst whistle at home of any team anywhere. In SEC games our opponents are almost shooting free throws 2-1 in our building.
If Taylor plays, I would put the over/under on his free throws shot at 20+.
Every time he lowers that shoulder and drives the whistle will blow if he is touched or not.
Didn’t A&M shoot almost 40 in our game last year??

Then I would expect the same thing from us. We took 48 free throws from Alabama and only made 28. They just ground us down. They fouled a lot and the refs seemed to miss every other one.

Alabama was too deep with guys who had no problem fouling. Feels like Oates is using the same strategy as Barnes did last year. Thugball.

Wade is not playing again. He’ll be on the bench.

Aggies are defensively biased. Wildcats live by your offense. Will be an interesting game. I think y’all will be too much for us without Wade, but I doubt we roll over.

I think we all know, Taylor will play, and he will be spectacular.

We just need to hope that Phelps guy continues to shoot it a lot! He got a taste the past 2 games of "shoot at will". A career 27% 3pt shooter, 31% this year. Last 2 games (w/ Taylor out) he is 20-54 overall (37%), 7-16 (44%) from 3 (because 6-10 in 1 game). I'd take my chances with him shooting contested shots.

I don't see them as anything close to similar players- like comparing Kellen Grady and Eric Bledsoe
They are both high volume/high shooting #’S guards who are either nuclear hot or ice cold. So that’s where they are similar I never said the playing styles where similar.

Wade Taylor will play because it’s Kentucky in rupp, even if he isn’t healthy he will still play because that’s how these situations work for Kentucky.
