Spot, where's the "Really hope I'm wrong" part?
He is mandated to pick against UofL the rest of the Cards P5 schedule.
So he'll be picking for the Cards again, the last game of the season.
Yeah, I knew he was joking with you about this. I was just concerned he didn't use his entire quote from the BC pick, since it helped us get that W.

Seriously, if the D holds Wake to 14 then I will take that as strong improvement.
I really see this as a 3 point game either way and whoever has that one big, out of the ordinary play (pick 6, KO return, etc.) will win. I've watched WF twice against UNC and BC and they dont make a lot of mistakes, but they also dont really overpower you either. The 3 above average teams they have played this year they won by 3, 6, and 3. We will be in this game! Cards 34-31.
I actually concur. And our learning curve has been great. Can you imagine if the improvement continue. Lou Holtz was a huge Ziggy fan, and he always says you never stay the same, you either get better or worse every play and every day. I can see our growth. That’s what excites me.

This game is hard to call. WF didnt exactly light the score board up against some bad defenses in BC and UNC, but they did control the time of possession against both teams, and I think both of us will try and control top. If our defense doesn’t have killer mental lapses in coverage we can win this game. I still think we’ll cover even we lose.

This game should be close. at #19 Wake Forest. both teams give up 393 yards per game.
Wake Forest is 5-0 but has not played any top teams. (Utah ST, Rice, Elon, North Carolina, and BC).
W.F seems to pass the ball really well. they average 312 passing yards per game.

Wake's WR are huge and Louisville secondary is eeeehhhhh.....

TBH, I was ready to predict a fairly easy win for Wake based on their passing attack vs our weak secondary. And I still believe that will be the advantage that wins the game for Wake. But, I now believe it will be closer than I was originally thinking. I will go with:

That’s a good point. Rankings aren’t on the minds of players and coaches right now. Winning as many games as possible is. Wake Forest presents a chance to make a statement. And for whatever reason, I think we pull it out.
Ding---terrible matchup for the Defense. A really good QB and good WR's. This is a game you let them try to beat you with the run and take away the pass. Let them chew clock and do the same on offense. Avoid giving up huge plays which has been a problem.
It should be a very entertaining game I just don't think they can get enough stops. Clauson has done a super job in a tough spot.
The Deacons will be tougher to beat on their home field....but I still feel the level of competition they have played vs what UofL has played is a tell.
One common opponent in BC makes it look even more like a TossUp game to me.

The Cards are getting some love on Gameday. Kirk is riding the Cards, but Howard going the other way. Bear said it’s such a close pick against the spread he was close to adding the Cards to his pick board. I like the way this day is starting!
Kirk is good, but this is only beginning. I truly believe the Cards win today.
