do we know how many total walkons they are looking to take this year? At 15 now....

They have to be close to saying enough, even if Dave Rimington thinks otherwise.

105 can participate in practice before school starts... 85 scholly players 15 preferred walk-ons that are new to the program=100.... Surely we have more than five Walkons that are sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

It appears to me that a handful of quality athletes will have to wait a few weeks before they can practice with the team, depending on injuries and attrition/processing.

The quality of this class may be a bit better than in years past
Lots of kids who passed on nice FBC Division offers

The Cassidy kid from Pius is the real deal
Just a good football player- high football IQ
Tackles really well, takes excellent angles- good burst
No Rudy- 515 squat, good size too 6'1' 215

AJ Forbes OL/DL could be another from Bellevue West
Great Motor
Good Size and strength for a HS kid
On grass he has been a dominant player in the Metro

Why is it so bad they don't start in August? For sure that would be ideal but there's lots of situations in life where everything isn't perfect to start.

Not terrible, just not ideal....... especially if you were told that you were a "preferred" walk-on and that you would be practicing with the team, being a part of the team, in every way other than your tuition and housing not being covered.
