I mean I am super happy for him… great guy… tough player… but when I saw where he was drafted I was shocked.

I just found it interesting that he may run into the same problems he had here. I think the kid wont last. CFL within 2 years.

Given the season he had and where he went in the draft, I don’t know how anyone could argue Wandale made the wrong decision

A lot of butts are really hurt on this board.
Not nearly as butt hurt as Giant's fans are going to be if he doesn't pan out. He hasn't seen heat yet.

It would have been better for Robinson to fall multiple rounds and start off with an established quarterback like in Tennessee, Dallas or Buffalo. Early expectations would then be tempered.

Now he carries second-round expectations on a bad team with a crowded depth chart at receiver and one of the league’s worst situations under center.

Man I get whiplash reading the Wandale threads. Same people who insisted he would be lucky to get drafted at all are now married to the idea that getting taken in the second round will surely be a terrible thing for him.

Is there a term for this? Outcome-based butthurt - or something like that?

You should read the article. The Giants see it. Everyone sees it.

He can prove us all wrong. He was a nifty college player. He may carve out a decent roll in the NFL, but it's going to be very difficult. I don't fault him that someone gambled and wasted a second round pick on him.

And all you butthurt guys better get used to it. Players will be moving around all the time due to NIL. While we're celebrating Toure that did the same thing and spent one season here, Wandale only spent one season at Kentucky. He got tired of Amart getting him killed. Time to move on. You're going to be hurt a lot more if that's your bar. Instead of being angry at Wandale you should be pissed at Scott Frost for sucking.

Of course it will be difficult to carve out a role in the NFL, just as it is for any small receiver. But at this point he'll sink or swim based on performance, and getting drafted in the second round isn't going to hurt his cause. The Giants aren't going to say "Geez, if only we had taken this guy in the 5th or 6th round, we would be patient and hang on to him. But since we spent a second-round pick, let's cut him loose."

Personally I think Robinson was a reach in the second round, but not as much of a reach as people trying to convince themselves that getting picked early will be his undoing.

He was not missed. And yes I have some inside info.

When I get some time I might spill a little more. Nothing earth shattering, but he's a pretty selfish little ****.

I somewhat agree, talent wise on the field it hurt not having him. In the locker room and team chemistry I agree not missed at all.

There's no one angry at Wandale. Not sure where you're getting that from. We're just questioning his abilities and future.

I disagree. Too many are taking this personally. It's fairly obvious that he's a lot better with a different coaching staff and quarterback. Good enough to get drafted in the second round. But keep on picking at your sores instead of letting it go.

Wandale was overused here, at running back especially. We didn’t reflect on the field the vision we sold him on. Either individually or as a team. He went home, where people beckoned him to come back, to flourish with his skill set individually and much better as a team In his home state.

He gets drafted in the second round when more than a few on these hollowed scrolls posted would never get drafted. Lol. The people with constant wedgies here with actual and imaginary slights to beloved Nebraska attack Wandale, and many others, for looking out for their best interests.

But that is very selfish here because no one dares thumb their noses at the beloved State university in favor of other schools. In-state or out of state. We never have or will ever come close to getting all our most cherished targets to come or stay here.

Just like recruiting corporations and companies to Nebraska(outside of Omaha and Lincoln), it is a mixed bag. Ebbs and flows, some positively and negatively in our favor or not. Our state population CRAWLS forward to two million. We roughly grow in state population by 100,000 a decade. Not fast growing. If we suck, that is on us as a whole to compete or fail to win.

So people can suck it up(a little), show maturity and move on or not. Many throw tantrums and lash out. Lol and yawn. But that is Nebraska and the RSS either portrays or not in general Nebraskans or just the hyper mindsets of the legions of Nebraska only fans who live and breathe University of Nebraska sports as the main integral component in their daily lives.

I wasn’t upset he left, but the shot he took at NU afterwards is what did it for me.
This. It's all based on this, which is not irrational. Nobody has to be a Frost worshipper or a Wandale fan boy in this equation. It was all cool til he talked poorly of NU. Twice now I believe? It's like... Why? Just do your thing and live in the present. He's young and the ego is strong. He'll be humbled in due time... At the expense of the Giants of course.

per pound he was a great player for us...just could'nt get him the ball right in the open field, and he was too small to be a lp workhorse.

I'm sure Brian Daboll will welcome Wandale's daddy dropping in w/scheme "suggestions" for his boy.

He will be fine. I think Daboll has enough sense to not use a 5'8 180 pound slot receiver as a RB. Especially one that would run inside zone and off tackle plays.

Now how he does as a WR remains to be seen but I'm sure he will be used there better than he was at Nebraska. Wandale and papa Wandale made the best decision they could for their son. They got him to a school that utilized him well and eventually got him drafted in the second round. I'm sure we all can admit that wasn't happening here. No matter how much you hated him,his dad or the decision to move on.

Interesting stat: Wandale had 7 touchdowns in 2021, Toure had 6.

You play the where the team needs you and most loyal players are willing to do anything to try and help their teams win showing great character, so when you are the only healthy option which he was in the RB room you just do it out of willinness. There is no I in team and I don't care if he's making the money he is in the NFL as that self entitled lil biotch can go fk himself as his loyalty was never here from day 1 and I don't give a fk what anyone on here has to say about it. Osborne wouldn't have put up with self entitlement.

I hope with coach Whipple here now that he’s the one that evaluates how players will be used and thrive. Over the last 4 years or whatever, it’s been such a head-scratcher on how and why certain players did play only to be never seen again or sent to the doghouse.
