One thing I know for sure.....a Petrino team will show up for the first game.....and let the chips fall where they may.

That's because historically Louisville always is the underdog...
Not so much now as 20 years ago. Louisville has come a long way in that time period and they aren't done yet. To bad auburn sucks in everything else but football tho.
Meh...most of all sports coverage adjusts as the contest develops. Sure, the SEC is the Chosen One in college football. If Auburn shows out in the game, like the experts are predicting preseason, they will receive their deserved accolades during the broadcast. But, if Louisville comes out, takes an early lead, and wins the game, then WE will suddenly be "the story" of the game. The stage is there to be taken, if we can take advantage of it. That's our task, to again steal the thunder from the mighty SEC in this game.

Like ESPN CBSSports has a contract with SEC and they are their home Broadcaster much like our local Radio Station. With being said I would expect nothing less and I have the option to listen to a local radio station. Don't let the announcers ruin your game day experience.

This type of hypersensitive, "victimhood" doesn't interest me. I'm not concerned as to whether to "mean ole" announcers are hyping and drooling all over Louisville or not. First, I'll be at the game so I'll have to wait until I get home to play the DVR to have any idea as to what the announcers said. "Don't let the announcers ruin your game day experience" Did you really just say that? You honestly expect anyone to be that obsessed with the announcers? Who cares. Are you that insecure and that on edge looking for some slight the announcers may send our way? Well, you sound like you are looking for slights and are hypersensitive so you'll probably find them, whether they are truly there or not. I didn't know we had this many whiny, sensitive fans. But to get back to the subject, Verne Lundquist is the absolute worst and will be bias towards the SEC for sure. Gary Danielson is actually a pretty good announcer and is not bias. He will have great thing to say about both schools.
Who cares about what the announcers say...more interested on whether or not we will slow down/stop Auburn rushing attack and improvement in the offense...just ready for some football.

I don't listen to talk shows but I do listen to games when they are played, I don't mute the TV during the game.
Announcers annoy viewers, it's how it works. They are incredibly biased, and annoying. It's why nobody can watch a Duke game when Dickie V calls it. This won't go that far, but Danielson is a confirmed SEC slurper.
Thread recap: OP is butthurt cause Turkey Neck Verne and Gary Danielleson work for a station that carries "The SEC Game of the Week" during the season, and may be a tad bias toward the conference that makes them their paychecks. @AuburnPCE takes a jab at the fact that except for when Teddy Bridgewater was in school, Louisville has usually waited till basketball season to starting squawking, much like your Wildcat counterparts in the SEC. Auburn basketball is then thrown into the mix, which is a non factor when it comes to our football program. The dust settles a tiny bit as more levels heads prevail, until I come in and stir the pot with the fact that 1). Verne hates us almost as much as you hate Calapari and 2). Bruce Pearl is a way better coach, and way more stylish, than Petino. If Louisville and Auburn played in basketball this year, we would coast to an easy win.
CBS pays millions to the SEC to broadcast their games each week. Expect the broadcasting experience to be very similar to what was witnessed when we played at Notre Dame on NBC last year.

Vern WILL be biased toward the $EC. Look I'm "older" myself but this guy is past being in prime time. He is constantly mispronouncing names and miscalling plays. It's time for Vern to retire. Other than that I just want to stick it in Auburn's ear.
