WOW ! .... What has happened to Stanford ? Also a surprise, Va. Tech 34 UNC 3, crazy weekend in College football, and another Washington put 60 plus on the board in a rout of Oregon.

This season is a perfect example of what you get with Mike Leach.

A loss to Eastern Washington at home and a win on the road against Stanford.
Don't look now...but that Eastern Washington team is 4-1 and beat North Dakota St (who has been an upset special the last few years).

Make no mistake...Leach is doing what he does at Wash St.

Huh? At one point I think we had the longest non conference win streak in college football under Brooks. Now we played a lot of cupcakes and a down UL but we beat the teams we were supposed to.

Correct! Remember seeing a stat on ESPN for the teams with the longest current non conference winning streaks and it was like USC, Texas, OSU, and UK....odd company

That was probably during the Kragthorpe years at UL during part of that. He was their Joker Phillips.

Parity. Talent is dispersed all over the country. The days of ten school gobbling up all the talent are long gone. Good players go where they can play in systems that fit their styles. That means that everyone has good players and everyone has weaknesses. Over the course of twelve games, someone will find those weaknesses--even if they have lesser talent.

Agree and that's why upsets happen. We was upset by southern miss. Nearly every team every year has a game they look back and says we should of won that one. We got to move on from it. It cost us a bad showing at Florida, but players and coaches look like they have put it behind them. As should the fans. Heck we stil have people crying about the eastern and ull game last year.

We got upset, happens to just about everyone in every sport at sometime or another.

Stanford has a first year starter at qb and has some issues on defense as well. WSU is rolling offensively right now. Peterson apparently has Washington playing like his BSU teams did with quite a bit more talent, lots of speed and talent on both sides of the ball and right now would be a tough game for anyone in the country.

Yes...maybe, I wood love to have a season with 9-4 with a bowl win...I think Mike Leach would be great here, but I guess he wouldn't meet the "standards" of our ad and several on this board...He sure does mine. Super smart, WINS and knows his $hi$ when it comes to what he wants to get done on the field. IF he is our next coach I will commit to more season tickets!
