Way behind here, but Lucas is a pr*ck? And we upgraded his position?

Sorry, been out of the loop for a while since before Christmas and just now getting back into things.

I saw Beamer's recent comments on Lucas' departure and how Kiffin didn't give him the courtesy of letting him know they were going to interview Lucas. Nobody can be too terribly surprised about that though. I mean, it's Kiffin. When he has ever acted with integrity.

More interesting to me was that Lucas didn't contact Beamer until late on a Friday night to let him know he'd been offered a job and then he was gone less than 12 hours later. Talk about burning some bridges. Having been with Beamer 4 seasons, I would think he would have let Beamer know he had been contacted by Kiffin to interview for a job there.

Amidst all the panic of him leaving and the fear that he would poach Stewart, it was funny to see that we actually upgraded his position by hiring Deion Barnes from PSU and retained Stewart in the process.

Kiffin, himself, has left burned bridges behind in Tennessee, South Carolina, Mississippi and California. I’ve really grown to dislike the guy. Personally, I think he’s bad for college football. Seems to be a good coach with lousy character.

Saw a funny post on X that Kiffin had emerged as a leading candidate for the new leader of Venezuela.

He'll eventually do the same at LSU as well

I wonder what the OM fans will throw at kiffin when LSU plays there? How do you detect mustard bottles at the gate?

Was Bryant ever interested in SC? Of the five universities he was considering, the Gamecocks were not listed.

He attened several games here last year, and obviously has a strong relationship with Lucas.

When he annouced he was going to make his annoucement, Bryant revealed a final list of Clemson, LSU, Texas A&M, Miami, Georgia and Alabama, so we did not make the cut for the hat table, so to speak.

I know I'm in the vast minority, but he doesnt bother me.

Tennessee and Ole miss? He left for better jobs.

South Carolina? He never coached here.

California? They fired him, but he was also dealing with huge scholarship reductions.

I get that people are mad when he leaves, but I cant really fault him for moving on to better jobs. And I think LSU is going to be really good, really soon. Maybe even year one.
