1) We are plenty talented to win games
2) Ryan Young is a waste of talent sitting on the bench
3) Practice them free throws

Northwestern type win. After the close losses make the team hard to watch, they win at one of the toughest venues without their best player.

4) Nance has been the problem all along /s
Hard to say he is THE problem but he does seem to get a little tight down the stretch. . Like against MD missing that FT that would have put us up at the end of regulation

Nicholson is ready enough to take some minutes from Beran. Nicholson very clearly knows the game. 3:0 A:TO and 3 offensive boards. He also is weak and slow, but he’ll get better. He got 13 minutes today, and has earned 13 minutes (but zero from Young, who needs to start and deserves 25+ minutes.)

17 offensive boards as a team.

Beran made some big shots early and then disappeared on the offensive end. He's done that all season for some strange reason. That said, he played a great game on defense. He shut down his man while being active in help defense. I was really really impressed with his D and I get why Collins likes him out there.

It wasn't very long ago that many here were castigating Nicholson - that he would never be a Big Ten quality player, etc. Still the case?

90% of the takes against Nicholson are the result of one poster’s campaign …
