Same as I’ve got, just with the potential of Ono over Nagao if that turns out to be legit. Interested if they go for a HWT transfer to compete with Mirasola? Not sure who is out there who would fit.125 Luke

I thought about Ono, but does he have any folk style/mat wrestling experience? Exactly the concern and why it would be a “maybe” for me. If he takes to it quickly, great that can be a good competition. If not, I think Nagao holds it down.I thought about Ono, but does he have any folk style/mat wrestling experience? If not, he may struggle mightily on bottom.
Nagao couldn't take Ono down with 1000 attemptsExactly the concern and why it would be a “maybe” for me. If he takes to it quickly, great that can be a good competition. If not, I think Nagao holds it down.
There is probably no one currently at 133 wrestling in college that could take him down so just choose neutral and force your opponent to take topI thought about Ono, but does he have any folk style/mat wrestling experience? If not, he may struggle mightily on bottom.
You dumb@ss crazy son of a b***h. I said the same thing in another threadThere is probably no one currently at 133 wrestling in college that could take him down so just choose neutral and force your opponent to take top

That would be my guess. Hopefully they can keep guys like Davis, Sealy and Connor around another year even if they aren’t starting.
I wouldn’t mind a portal HWT but who knows if there will be one that’s a fit and that much better than Cole to make it worthwhile.
Of the Iowa guys you mentioned I believe Kennedy has another year.I think we see Davis redshirt either way, and Facundo leaving might change the strategy, but barring OK State/Iowa or Nebraska cleaning up in the portal, I think there's enough firepower in this lineup to redshirt two out of LL (Ono), Davis (Nagao or Ono), Kasak or Haines and still win NCAAs. You can still wrestle these guys in big dual meets like what Iowa did with Ferrari this year.
Not entirely sure what eligibility status is for these wrestlers, but OK State's SR/GR are Hamiti, Hendrickson, Amine, Fish, Plott, Surber. Iowa SR/GR are Buchanan, Brands, Kennedy, Parco, and Teemer. Nebraska loses Jacob Smith and Lovett. PSU is losing Bartlett, Kerk and Starocci.
Brock Hardy from Nebraska has another year ?Of the Iowa guys you mentioned I believe Kennedy has another year.
PSU returns 128.0 pts next year. Not including whatever points we would get from any newcomers or Nagao if he starts.I think we see Davis redshirt either way, and Facundo leaving might change the strategy, but barring OK State/Iowa or Nebraska cleaning up in the portal, I think there's enough firepower in this lineup to redshirt two out of LL (Ono), Davis (Nagao or Ono), Kasak or Haines and still win NCAAs. No real portal needs here except maybe a HWT but not sure who that would be.
Another big year expected. Can’t wait to see how the other top programs work the portal.
Yes. TBD if he stays at 141 or replaces Lovett at 149.Brock Hardy from Nebraska has another year ?
According to a chart I saw of the All Americans by recruiting class, he graduated a year BEFORE Starocci? Is that accurate?Yes. TBD if he stays at 141 or replaces Lovett at 149.
Starocci is one of one but Ryder is really good and Blaze could be really specialLet’s not jump to conclusions with that one. Starocci, Kerk, and Bartlett are big shoes to fill.
They didn’t bring him here to redshirt him. He is in the lineup. So can he redshirt?
I thought I read or heard that he went on a mission so that might have impacted his eligibility.According to a chart I saw of the All Americans by recruiting class, he graduated a year BEFORE Starocci? Is that accurate?
Ok. Yes. That would make sense then.I thought I read or heard that he went on a mission so that might have impacted his eligibility.
Agree. Ryder is legit and Blaze was the #1 recruit for a reason. HWT will be a little top heavy with a few proven guys next year, who are looking to take the next step, now that Gable, Wyatt, and Kerk are gone. They recruited Mirasola for a reason. He may take some lumps the first year, but HWT will clear out again in a year or two and he should get good experience and excellent coaching in that time.Starocci is one of one but Ryder is really good and Blaze could be really special
The only real concern about next year is Cole Mirasola at HWT
If any of those guys you mentioned wrestle a match attached, they cannot redshirt. What Iowa did with Ferrari was because he was a freshman. And we did same with Sealy.I think we see Davis redshirt either way, and Facundo leaving might change the strategy, but barring OK State/Iowa or Nebraska cleaning up in the portal, I think there's enough firepower in this lineup to redshirt two out of LL (Ono), Davis (Nagao or Ono), Kasak or Haines and still win NCAAs. Strongly agree here from watching Mirasola at HWT. We saw last night the caliber of what it takes to be an Elite HWT. I’d love for Cael and Staff to go out and get an Elite HWT for next year. AJF will probably be moving up to HWT next year. He stated he dropped a ton of weight to make 197. He’ll be your pre season favorite to win the HWT weight class. Gonna be interesting.Same as I’ve got, just with the potential of Ono over Nagao if that turns out to be legit. Interested if they go for a HWT transfer to compete with Mirasola? Yeah, that's a bit of a leap of faith. Those 3 scored 49.0 pts this weekend.Let’s not jump to conclusions with that one. Starocci, Kerk, and Bartlett are big shoes to fill.
Who would that be? Please name the high-end HWTs next year that would be an upgrade AND might transfer.Strongly agree here from watching Mirasola at HWT.
