After being down by 11 with 3 minutes to go. That’s the second blistering comeback they’ve had this year already. McKeown has completely reversed the end-of-game issues the team had in past years.

Likely to be ranked tomorrow too.

Any idea what what happened to our freshman Burton? She started the first 2 games at the point and hasn't played in the last 2.

I don't know if we'll be ranked yet, but I'd rather have the team fly under the radar for a little while longer.

(Granted, that's the loser's mentality that we sometimes see with the fans on the football board...)

She was injured in practice, along with Sydney Wood who had good minutes in the first two games as well but also was a DNP the last two games. Reports are that that are not long-term injuries.

With a lot of foul trouble today that almost played right into Florida's hands. Would have been a bad loss as Florida has yet to win (losses to Mercer, FSU and Gardner-Webb) and is projecting to be an SEC bottom-feeder this year after a coaching change, so disaster averted.

Thanks mike. Where the hell do you get this sort of info - I looked all over for it after the last couple of games, both of which I followed on espn.com

I think it's cool that a segment of you follow the WBB team. While I can't say that I've ever been able to get into it, I have to say that I find the dedication and support impressive, and I appreciate the occasional updates and general enthusiasm here. I played drums at a whole bunch of their games back in the day. Though tbh I did it at least in part for the opportunity to play drums, I found the women's lax games to be a more compelling watch generally. Maybe because our teams there were better...

Go Cats!

ricko, I follow all NU sports, both men and women very carefully. It's a lot more fun than arguing on the football board about board rules and who's a troll! (Also, I love the drums.)

WBB is the same game we already love and it’s arguably tougher than the MBB game because there’s less turnover, meaning you are required to recruit players, yes, but you must develop those same players year over year. You don’t get mulligans where you can run off players or they might go pro. It’s gratifying to see players at NU develop over four years and see their counterparts at OSU and other Big Ten schools do the same. If you follow it yearly you get a sense of the personal rivalries of who’s getting better year to year.

The kids on TOS wrote something similar, so I assume it was mentioned at the presser.

By the way, the women's team is third in 'others receiving votes' (i.e. ranked 28th) in this week's poll.
