Looked at his film.

Legit big kid.

Mechanics need some work, relies too much on upper body so he darts a lot of his throws. Gets away with it because he is way taller than everyone. Should recruit some of his o-lineman, kid never gets touched let alone pressured.

I bet a beer he never comes!

I'm always cautious with early commitments, but usually when a kid bounces it's because he finally got his 'dream school' offer or there is pressure to stay home. I guess NIL could be a thing too these days, but looks like he has offers from everyone, so if he bolts it's likely because of pressure to stay home or someone backs up the NIL truck.

Surely I’m not the only one, but I’ve lost a lot of interest in recruiting. Kid like this commits and my only real thought is, “That’s nice, for now at least.”

Same. Way more concerned with the players who will be on the field this fall.

QB recruiting at the very top which Huhn is a part of that group for 26 is like a one month sprint as soon as that first domino or two fall. He has visited all of the big schools he had on his list, but a simple coaching change, or Bell at Texas changing his mind could set off a whole new chain of events. Needless to say this is a big get for PSU and all we can do is hope he sticks. I mean it's been a whole hour now so the concerns are valid. ;)

'Elite' QB who has only been playing two years. That says something though not sure what exactly....

That’s kind of my point. 15-20 years ago I would have been concerned about holding this commitment. Now I’m kind of indifferent unless the kid actually signs.

PSU has a couple of decommits every year, but they actually do a pretty good job of holding most. Some years are better than others, but now new offer$ can come in and change things. All I can say is there is a good amount of POSITIVE momentum with recruiting this week, enjoy it.

Meh. I’ll enjoy it in December (in this case, December of ‘25!) when they sign.

Lot to like about the kid, but I'm growing confused what Franklin desires in a QB these days? I guess anyone that ranked high? He used to put a premium on running QB's and has a poor record of getting anything out of pocket passers(Hack/Allar to dbd).

Other than the mobile Pribula, they've taken Allar, Smolik, Grunk, Kritza and now Huhn. Besides the mobile McSorley, none of the mobile QBs hit.

Staffs are pushing for the QBs faster than ever. I'd say as far as keeping this kid, it depends on:

1. Bell staying with Texas.
2. Michigan keeping their QB (who verbal'd right after Bell)
3. Insane NIL offer

BWICAC bylaws prohibit enjoyment. We always deserve better.

Fair point, he did try really hard to make CLifford a mobile QB....he referenced getting Clifford faster being most important to their offense.

So let's not recruit at all? This pessimistic outlook is perfect for the sad sack that wouldn't risk dating the pretty girl. I mean, she's gonna end up with someone better than me anyway.
You can’t beat the experts here.

“Risk dating the pretty girl”? I have no shot. 😞

Looks like the real deal but he's from California. We can't dominate the state.
If the kid was from Pa......
Great to get a 4 star QB from Pa., but the real ballers are coming from Florida and California these days

I'm gonna enjoy this commitment. Long way to go but having Huhn on board should help our WR recruiting immediately. We have some really nice arm talent on the current roster with an opportunity to get early playing time at WR. I'm sure Exinor and Cyrus are paying close attention. If I were them and I knew I wanted to go to Penn State, I'd pull the trigger immediately before I lost my spot.
