We have shot 27% from outside in the last 3 games

Yeah. I'm as optimistic of a fan as anyone, but if this doesn't improve we won't do very well. I was hoping we just had some off games but 3 in a row is dangerously close to a trend. I'm surprised at how poorly we shoot the ball all around actually. We aren't a great free throw shooting team and even miss a concerning amount of layups.

Clemson's % wasn't that much better.

The rebounding was even but that's a much bigger issue, especially letting one guy have his way with you, and especially if shots arent falling...rebounds you have more control over than hitting long range shots

The blueprint is there. Running the offense through Williams isn’t going to work. His handle is terrible. His shot is not good. There is no need for the D to help so no open kick outs. The D doesn’t leave their man essentially face guarding our perimeter players. No concern for anyone driving other than Butler and Oweh.

Lots of rushed shots and hero ball of late. The beautiful ball movement and spacing we saw early has been absent in last few games. If we insist on Williams or Garrison coming out to the key to initiate offense it could be dicey for rest of year. I think Williams should take the low post and stay there, He gives us very little 20 feet from basket

Yeah. My early thoughts are he's going to have to change up his strategy. Khalifa at BYU was a better passer and shooter so it worked. Unless Williams and Garrison improve a LOT in a short time, it won't be effective this year.

Not a coincidence it’s been the 3 most physical games

Duke is the only physical game we’ve shot well

It is a bit concerning. And then you have the wrong guys putting up those shots, while a couple of your better threats from deep are nowhere to be found. I think Pope will get that sorted out.

More Carr at the 5 might be the way to go. He's way better than Garrison and Williams on the low block and the spacing when he's on the court is better.
