NEVER. Plus the national media (other than ESPN) is starting to call out the huge disparity of foul calls on Duke's behalf versus the NCAA teams they have faced facilitating the reason for their winning. U Conn will be too small against Zona, or Michigan, or even Illinois.

It’s not matter of if, but when UConn passes us in titles, unfortunately considering how inept the UK administration is. I just can’t see us winning another title in the next decade. And UConn will definitely win multiple titles in that time period, most likely. We have to hold off them for as long as possible.

Yes. This and icgaf how much anyone wants to ***** and moan about it. UCONN already has more total titles than Duke and they’ve gotten all of them in this ~25 year period that’s been so volatile and largely embarrassing for us. Besides which other than being at Duke Scheyer seems like a more or less okay guy whereas Hurely is a nutcase loudmouth disrespectful entitled pr1ck. I will continue to loathe Duke and want them to lose otherwise. And I don’t think Duke can beat Arizona so I don’t think it matters too much whether they could beat Michigan again. But worst comes to worst I’d much rather have Duke with six titles than have 25-year-world-beaters UCONN only one championship behind us and with a shiny new one in hand to boost recruiting while we’re chained down under JMI and Pope’s lame duck year. F that.
Bingo. Gotta take a Duke loss however you get it in March. Their 8 men on the floor advantage gets more dangerous the deeper they get.
And at least UConn has crazy disadvantages moving forward. They don’t have tons of money and I just don’t think Hurley is going to stay there forever. The NBA will eventually lure him. UConn hit crazy luck, I think eventually they’ll stop and be a hot 30 year program looking back. They just don’t have the allure and the money to get hihh profile coaches that’s why they hired Hurley in the first place. They’ve just gotten really, really lucky in crazy ways. They can’t be a destination forever in NIL. No way.
Duke is a real natural threat that unless Kentucky gets its act together they will pass us. And they have more claim because they’ve been winning almost as long as we have, they just weren’t dominant like us earlier. Every year Duke misses a championship is a great thing.
And it’s weird. Duke has actually shown that they aren’t all that good really. Nike, ncaa help, team USA, dark money flowing in, media, they have ALL THE ADVANTAGES, and haven’t been in a title game in TEN YEARS. Considering all the facts, that’s trash.
Duke would never do that. They are establishment, they would be making a fortune off that war.
