Dude is a clown. Anyone can pick out bad plays from every game.

There’s a reason this clown is not coaching

I am most concerning about Pope's "loyalty" to Garrison...

And Garrison will play a lot even after JQ returns...
Garrison wasn’t even close to the biggest problem. He’s become our whipping boy. Fox was the biggest problem in that game, that gameplan stunk. Also, if Lowe and Oweh don’t improve defensively, we are in serious trouble

I was most disappointed in the lack of defensive adjustments. Seems we did the same thing all game it it just kept getting us killed. Yes, Pope switched guys at some point but that wasn't really the issue, imo. The issue is NOBODY on our team could cover their guards and we continued to let them space us out and allow them to blow by...with nobody at the rim to stop them. I would've mixed in a triangle and two to make their young guards think.

We did make adjustments. We just made them a tad bit late. We went from drop coverage to icing to trapping throughout the game. Good news is we didn’t get beat on straight line drives for the most part. We stunk in transition defense and ball screen coverage. We can fix those things with effort, energy and communication.

Ok, but isn't icing just a drop coverage that moves the point of attack? I do recall some trapping changes. The drop and icing was just not effective. They still drove right passed us and help side was late...like every time it seemed. And, they were making timely outside shots when we gave any resistance to penetration. Their passing was great too. I attribute that to them as well as our poor spacing..

I'll definitely defer to your expertise over my benny self and I'll try to learn from your reply. Thanks

Hes does cbb. He did an epic one on cal when we lost to Oakland.

Also, guy is sort of crazy but absolutely knows his stuff especially on D. He has some amazing defensive insights on that channel.

I am not a coach. I’m also just a Bennie. That said, icing and drop coverage are not the same. Icing is more aggressive and drop coverage is more conservative. The point of icing is to keep the ball out of the middle third of the floor and trying to direct offense baseline. Drop coverage keeps big back and tries to force tough twos.
Someone like @Eagles_Ball_69 is going to be even better at breaking some of this down, as he is a coach.
