We were soliders, and sons

Not sure I got the title right of movie or book, but it came on during the weekend of Thanksgiving. Several family members that served in Vietnam seemed to rather watch that then the football game downstairs.

I respect and salute all former vets.

Just curious if this movie is closer to real or fake for people that served.

The movie, We Were Soldiers, was based on a true story. Good flick. Not sure how true it stayed to the story of what actually happened. And not sure if the book is as good or better (as is usually the case).

But it's a damn fine flick.
