They would be our 3rd best win behind UVA and Wake. We would be their best win by a pretty wide margin ahead of Missouri. If the D shows up at all (which is questionable) we win comfortably. We all know we will score on them.
I get what you’re saying, but Missouri isn’t better than us.Based on ESPN’s FPI, UofL is #53 and UK is #38. UofL has a win over #37 Virginia which is one spot better than UK. UK has a win over Missouri, which is rated #32, 21 spots better than us.
Wake Forest is 51 in those rankings, so they are also not better than UK.
So using an objective metric rather than the subjective eye test, UofL has beaten one team better than UK (but we did that at home). UK also has one win against a team better than us, also at home.
We can win, but we did NOT win in our two road tests against similarly ranked teams (Miami is 33 and FSU is 47). A win in this game will be our best performance of the year.

I think we can all agree that any metric that ranks that putrid Missouri team 21 spots ahead of UL is flawed to the point of being useless.
Saragin also has the ACC as the 6th ranked conference behind the AAC, which is obviously false. So really any particular measure you can find is flawed.I used the Sagarin ratings:
UL: #47
UK: #48
We have wins over #32 (UVA) and #49 (Wake) while their best win is over #52 (Missouri). So, technically we would still be their best win and they would be our 2nd best, but essentially equal to the Wake win.
Sagarin seems more accurate. Mizzou has been a colossal disappointment this year.I used the Sagarin ratings:

Lol....it'll be a good win when the Cats finally break the home schneid this year. Won't be a pretty game, but Stoops likes the grind.
The two conferences are out of kilter again this year....SEC it's LSU, Georgia, Bama and Florida pretty much in that order with Auburn coming on.....then everybody else except Vandy and Arkansas jammed up. ACC has one truly exceptional team then everyone else is a juggle.
SEC has a couple good wins OOC, but some stinkers as well. Haven't kept up with the ACC in OOC.
It'll be the Cats best win this year against a P5 team.
Glad to have it
Agreed. I think I read that stoops still has a losing record yet being in his 7th or 8th year in addition to playing 8 home games most years. This game comes down to their Oline. It is better than Louisville’s front 7. Louisville can’t get gashed. They have to be great in the red zone force field goals. Yeast is out. It is not a good matchup.
I have no idea how good UK’s defense is they have played terrible offenses all year. They got Georgia in a monsoon. Louisville will be the best offense they have faced. I think Virginia and Miami defenses are comparable.
UK should win they are in the 8th or so season with their staff. They lose this game to a 1st year staff ouch.
I agree that a UK trying a passing attack of any kind would be somewhat of a "surprise" to our defensive game plan, but I just don't see UK trying that. They haven't shown a tendency to do that, or to be very successful passing when they've been forced to do it. I actually look for UK to try to stuff it down our throats with the running game from the first snap til the last, only attempting to pass when necessary. I think their plan will be ball and clock control, keeping our offense off the field as much as possible, and wearing our defense down.Agreed. Every one is talking about stopping their run which will be a tall task. However, I look for gran to start with some short passes and to use the tight end over the middle probably in the red zone.
Getting their QB a Passing TD would be demoralizing to our defense. Sure hope CSS and staff are prepared for this look.
They have protected their defense with their running game. Their defense hasn’t been on the field much. This is another factor in evaluating their defense. They have played bad offenses and limited the number of times those offenses get the ball.I agree that a UK trying a passing attack of any kind would be somewhat of a "surprise" to our defensive game plan, but I just don't see UK trying that. You might want to take Miami out of that discussion at the top with losses to Georgia Tech and FIU. Yeah and not Florida State either.A couple of comments and a simple question....
We have played and lost to Notre Dame, Florida State, Clemson, and Miami.
We have played and beaten Eastern, Western, Boston College, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, Virginia and Syracuse.
Which group of teams does Kentucky look most like?
It’s that simple. Kentucky is more like Virginia and Boston College then it is any of the four teams that beat us.
Bu bu bu but...they play in the SEC....the SEC east that is. I have never seen another school pound that conference drum as much as those clowns, no to mention they use it as an excuse for any of their failures. They cant even take care of Tennessee and Florida when they are historically down. They would be our 3rd best win behind UVA and Wake.
