I'm seeing early freezing rain, followed by snow. Do you think the conditions are going to be difficult? Tip at 8 PM.

As it currently stands, there could be 1-2 inches that have fallen by 6. Most accumulating precip should end by tipoff.

It is still a pretty wide open situation as we could have less than 1/2 inch total or it could 4-5.

The weathermen have been a little vague on what will occur and when. Some seem to say that the weather will come and go in time for the streets to be cleared, others seem to think the worst of it will be later on. We'll probably know more tomorrow morning.

I missed last year's final home game because of bad weather and I'm not going to miss this one!

Such a mix of reports so far - weather channel says up to an inch of sleet/snow but local stations are saying more but eat station says something different. So who knows. I'll be there regardless!

Still some uncertainty here this morning.

Models in general are trending higher with snow totals but it's really all about the timing of the cold air.
1-3 in Tulsa a good range right now.

It still looks like most of the accumulating snow will end by 6-7pm so that's good.
The fact most will fall during the day will mean the roads will take a while to get bad, if they do at all.

If some of the higher totals occur roads could be bad. Those suggested totals are 5+ inches.

More info later this afternoon.

Let's also remember that it should B more like a Spring snow.
Heavy wet flakes, but disappear especially once they hit the road.

It'll B a little more tedious when the game is over
as temps fall below freezing and they'll B ice patches,
but nothing we haven't seen or been thru B4.

Think how "Hot" it'll B inside
& how warm u'll feel after the game knowing that TU
is @ least conference co-champs 4 the 2nd yr in the row.

Go TU

That's a two way street right now.
Temps are expected to be in the 20's all day tomorrow.
Ground temps are in the mid 30's.

Those indicate quick accumulation.

The other side is, the sun is higher and with the snow falling during the day with traffic and the higher sun behind the clouds, it could prevent the streets from getting too bad until like you said, after the sun is far down in the west.

TU hoops just tweeted a quote from Haith saying the team deserves a good crowd - I really hope people show up, this team really does deserve it.

I think the students will be there, most don't have to drive. It's up to the rest of us to fill the arena up. I plan on being there, as long as the roads are open ! (Yes, I know the roads are always open).

I just hope they keep I-244 sanded. The city needs to understand some of the roads TU fans need to get to the game will be used tomorrow night. Maybe some calls to the mayor might help. He's been to a few games (and on the kiss cam), so that might help. Or is that ODOT's job?

If it's really as bad as Channel 6's guesstimate, could they move the game to Thursday night ? Both TU & Cincy don't play again until Sunday.

I have seen .5-2 inches possible. Channel 6 seems to like to over estimate and over-hype the weather potential all the time. I prefer the 2 News Works for You Weather team.

Anyone want to write a mock script for an anchorman type movie based on the Tulsa TV stations...you could go ultra-hype religious right with the KGEB Jesus crew.

Travis Meyer is actually my favorite, reasonableness being a big reason.

I thought we'd be covered in freezing rain and sleet already. Traffic has been normal by us on the BA all morning.

Lots of sleet and snow already coming down in Bartlesville. If I can't make the trip I've got two print-at-home tickets in 118 that I can e-mail to someone for free.

On radar it looks like Tulsa is falling between a band of frozen precip to the north and rain to the south. The band of nothing looks fairly thick, so perhaps we are going to miss most of it??

nothing coming down in Downtown. No issue driving in from midtown. Streets did not seem slilck. I tried and was able to hard stop. Some ice on windshields and exposed surfaces. No big deal, but it will still kill the walk-up crowd and the casual season-ticket holders.
