You are over reacting to my statements.
Lamb and Ford need to be discouraged from causing costly and unnecessary personal fouls.
Lamb's post game remarks make me believe he was made to see the error of his ways, especially as he proclaimed such antics won't ever be repeated.
Where do you get off on my wanting to "noose up every player" that makes mistakes ?
As you said, I was just over reacting. I feel you tend to pronounce doom and gloom every time a Sooner player does something boneheaded, on or off of the field. Maybe I work closer to young people more often. It's easy to forget how childish they act and are when they present themselves in adult bodies. You see an adult, but you commonly get an adolescent. It can be confusing. They're still in school. They're still learning.
I personally didn't see anything egregious in what Lamb did, and I'm not aware of ongoing childish behavior by him. If anything, I thought he was the more mature player in the heat of that situation. Maybe his initial penalty was hotheaded, but his reaction to the response by the Tech player was commendable in my assessment. It was Lamb who turned and walked away from the situation. His words continued, but his back was towards the action, and he was far distanced when the 2nd penalty flew. If I recall correctly, he also kept his hands down while the Tech player continued to badger and shove him. He showed a lot of restraint in my opinion. The look of shock on his face was a good indicator that he didn't do anything egregious. Compare it to Ford's penalty in which Ford looked totally expecting of the penalty and didn't care. That was a guy that had lost it and didn't care.
I just feel we need to give people an honest second chance when they flub. I feel it's a half-assed second chance when it comes with a threat - "I'll bench you next time." etc. Would we rather our coach act like one of these Last Chance U buffoons? Lamb said he learned and won't do it again. I say go 100% in on his words this time until he proves us to be fools with another outlandish display.
