Yeah, and Florida wins in Lexington and drops 1 spot in that same poll. That's how much the AP writers are impressed with the Gators, and speaks volumes about how those same writers feel about UofK.
Kentucky was the better team (although Florida is probably better if they have a full roster)

Louisville was a better team than Kentucky but lost the game last year. It happens.
At the time they played, I would have to disagree about UofL having the better team. UofL was in a free falling downward spiral (due to internal issues from what I heard which may or may not be true), while UofK was motivated to make a bowl game AND beat their in state rival whom they hadn't beat in a few years. UofK was playing a whole lot better when they met last year. The same thing could happen again this year too. I won't rule it out.
No they weren't. They lost, they were at home, they were highly motivated, and FLA was coming off an emotional win.
