This is one of the best Led Zeppelin shows of all time and I've started it right at the best live Kashmir ever. As a Kashmir connoisseur, I can tell you the finest Kashmirs were only played in 1975. Once Page switched from the Les Paul to the Danelectro, it lost something. Once the mellotron went away, it might as well be cheesy 80's music. But not here!

This sounds like it's from a different planet and it rocks HARD. "Oh let the sun beat down upon my face"

I will see your 1975 show and raise you a Page/Plant collab with an Egyption orchestra, and a beautiful haunting opening while still holding on to the roots of the song and melody and bringing in some perfectly timed non blues influences.

speaking of Key West..... another WV gem....

Ahhh....memories. Been listening to Michael for close to 30 years, but admittedly hadn't seen him for the last 10 or so. He's looking old, but still sounds good. Some great tunes....

I actually remember when he played at the Bull and Whistle on Duval before moving on to Schooner Wharf.

That's actually where we first saw him circa 1994. Sitting on his stool drinking beer from the pitcher. Got to BS a little, come to find out he's from Raleigh County WV, most likely some patch town near Beckley. He's played with them all including Billy Ed Wheeler, (who wrote Jackson) here's one of Billy Ed's

I almost melted walking a block today.

Here are two songs that remind me of those long hot summer days when I was a kid and swedish fish cost a nickel at the pool. Keep your dial tuned to WTMB radio-oh-oh. First on deck a little ditty about a horse with no name.

Keep your dials tuned to AM409. It's a balmy 92 in Tampa with a realfeel (tm) of 95 degrees. We're gonna keep rocking all afternoon at WTMB or until the antenna melts.

Today (7/29) is the birthday of Neal Doughty, who plays the piano, Hammond organ, and the Moog synthesizer. He was one of the co-founders of REO Speedwagon. To celebrate, one of their most famous songs that starts off with him on the piano:
