Anu had a hard hit oppo double down the RF line. Daniel had a couple of hard hit singles. Shelby had a soft double down the LF line. Lots of ground balls. Some for outs. Some for errors. Lewis and Hill both had bunt singles.Any decent hits?
Estep at 1st, huh? That's a new one.I only went Sunday and they scrimmaged 5 innings. The best thing I saw offensively was only 4 Ks, and 0 looking. Cottongame threw 3 innings and was sharp, giving up 1 hit and recording 3 Ks. He kept the hitters off balance. Defense was shaky with several infield misplays. One surprise was seeing Zeke in CF although I don't see him playing much out there with Anu, Shelby, Hill and Daniel.
Here are the lineups they used.

SS Schultz
RF Anu
1B Collett
2B/3B Curtis
CF/2B Zeke

I think that Anu's defense has played him into moving to DH. It just might not be strong enough to keep him in the field. That means Daniel will likely be out there in RF. Given how shaky Daniel was a year ago, that is saying a lot about Anu's defense.
I heard Cole Stupp and Harper both pitched well on Saturday, but Marsh was a bit more shaky.
Also it seems like Curtis has locked down second, which I think means Rhodes is going to be over at third.
Anyone hear anything on Justin Olson? He was billed as being one of the next big things over at 1st base. I haven't heard anything about him. Instead we are hearing about Harmon over there. Nothing wrong with that, but I thought Olson would be in the conversation a lot more.
Did he have off season surgery?
