Nobody can say the fans have not been loyal and patient. Now they deserve better.

This isn't being self-congratulatory: our overall fanbase and fan support really is great. Obviously is a combination of geography, lack of professional sports, and previous history of success - but it is pretty amazing that many of us have hung around.

Hopefully the next potential coaches will place value on that. I know the players value it. I think Frost values it. Unfortunately, he just can't coach it seems.

The fan support is remarkable. When a program is that bad for that long, fans stop coming to games. Heck, we can't win a road game to save our lives but fans went all the way to Ireland.

But in some ways, our fan support is also a curse. Year after year, our players get this false sense of importance and confidence from being in a big time program and when the pressure is on or plays don't go our way, they fold.
