Has anyone heard any updates from Bamba's recruitment? I noticed that Duke picked up another crystal ball prediction. I feel like he is still a long shot for Duke, but I would definitely love him at Duke though.

Hard not to feel really, really good about Carter and Trent. And to be honest, I wouldn't rule out both Knox and Bamba, either.
Wow!! That's awesome!! I figured if Knox committed to Duke( I feel like we have a good chance with Knox) and Carter had already committed to Duke, then it would be very difficult to land Bamba

jmo but his recruitment depends on whether or not Bolden ia a OAD.If he is it will be a long drawn out battle with UK

Duke recently put out an offer to the #1 ranked Point Guard in 18. Supposedly, he has been really waiting on a Duke offer. Is this at all related to anything going on with 17's Class? Jackson staying/going or Coleman/Duval/Green?

More of a need two to three PG's on the roster that is potentially coming in. Some groups can absorb by having a distributor better than others. The '18 group will need a distributor who can also score and Garland and Quickley offer that.

DH-I realize I was hoping to be reading the stars, but I was hoping that that offer indicated Jackson staying or us getting Duval, thereby not needing Coleman or Green for next year, but definitely needing someone to go with Tre Jones for 18. And yes, I know that would be really trying to read something that is probably not there-if any of that makes sense..

Duval is definitely something that is not/will not be there. Doubtful we keep Frank for three let alone it'll be nice if we keep him for two (which is a possibility). Coleman is a mature distributor, Jones similar player and Garland and Quickley are scorers that can distribute. That's kind of the route the team is going for '18.

I'd be relatively surprised if Frank doesn't come back next year. He's really good but another year would help him immensely.

I think Frank will definitely be back next year and maybe as a junior. We are in good shape for the next 3 years at least. OFC

Yeah he is more than likely returning because of readiness and education. He and his parents are serious about his degree and he's using his time at Duke as his Mormon mission.

Frank for three years could almost have a Jason Williams impact. Almost

So, any idea when during the early signing period he will make an announcement. It begins today I believe. :)

What's the latest on Knox? Are we in the running? Any word on his announcement?

I think he is a 99.9999 per cent unc lean. Looks like they've locked him up. OFC
UNC does have a chance with him. Not sure it is great one, but they are in the running. As much as UK and Duke? I don't think so bu there is alot of time before he commits anywhere.

Things can change pretty fast. By late August/early September many felt UNC was a major player and maybe even a leader....myself included. But now? Well, by reading the tea leaves and listening to some trusted "insiders" I almost get the impression UNC isn't a big factor. To be honest, I don't know what to think....but some trusted Duke people seem to think we're very much a player for his services. I know I didn't think that a short time ago.

With Trent committing and Carter likely to commit, I think the two will impact Knox's decision. Trent has already stated he will stay in Knox's ear about committing to Duke. Also, UNC's chances of making the tournament next season are very low with the recruiting class they're bringing in. Of course, this is under the assumption Berry and Jackson will go pro this year. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Roy finds a way to lure these guys back to save UNC.

I think Berry is fantastic but I dont see him going pro. Size alone I think keeps him in school.

I never understood the size argument. I'm not saying it's inaccurate that scouts don't like him as much because of his size, I just don't think it's a valid reason to knock a point guard. I mean, Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry, Isaiah Thomas, Ish Smith, JJ Barea, Mike Conley, Kemba Walker, Eric Bledsoe, and Patty Mills all seem to be doing fine. None of those guys are over 6'1.

Is the 23rd still a realistic date? I would be very thankful for good news that evening.

I do feel Duke is attractive to Knox
- He is OAD and wants to be at a college that gives him a chance to win a National Championship.
- Duke is selling him on playing the roles of Justise, BI and Tatum.
- Dukes recruiting class will be loaded and some are his buds
