free throws and three pointers have been a steady trend upwards for seven games now. what's great is we're not shooting 25 threes a game, we cut that down today and looked like world beaters in the process. the analyst who said we have multiple guys who can hit multiple threes was correct. andrew and ulis wait until they're open, and aaron and booker do the same but can shoot over the defense from very deep. if you're zone strategy is a hope for missed threes, this team is likely going hurt you instead.

People were jumping to "it's 2010 again!!" conclusions as soon as the Columbia game was over. Since then:

UNC: 7-15
UCLA: 12-26
UL: 6-14
Ole Miss: 11-20
A&M: 9-28
Mizzou: 8-18
Bama: 8-17

61-138 (44%)

This team has shooters. Not just guys who can shoot (though the Twins qualify there), but real shooters. Book and Ulis are lethal. It was just a matter of time.

I know we're only half way through his freshman season, but right now Booker is the best shooter I've ever seen. He never misses when he gets a real clean look.

Booker's damn near single handedly making us a good outside shooting team. Take him away and it'd be an entirely different story. Booker is exactly what the 2010 team was missing.

and not just some fans. every analyst including bilas said it was a potential weakness (perimeter shooting) before the season started. i wonder what they think right now.

Love Devon's shot. So smooth. KInd of like when you're putting well, the cup looks a bushel basket. Seems to me that pretty much what Devon is seeing. The rim looks like its as big as the ocean. What a smooth shot the kid has. Today 16-18 FT's When crunch time comes, FT's will win the game. I was at an event in Memphis when Cal was there. Someone asked him about FT's. He said, paraphrasing, "the kids know whats up...they'll make them when the have to make them". If they shoot like they did today we won't have a problem.

How do go from a 9 point lead to a 20 point lead?

Booker+Ulis....fabulous today.
