It feels good that the 'Cats are probably now a lock for the NCAA tournament. I can see them finishing the regular season 2-1: I expect a win at Wisconsin, predict a win against Rutgers, but don't expect a win against Maryland. But, stranger things have happened!

Well I will go lock status if we beat Wisconsin. I still get worried about the potential for bad losses after the at PSU game.
But I'm ecstatic that we've gotten to 20 wins.
Little known true fact -- I covered the last Northwestern women's NCAA win for the Daily Northwestern. 90-62 over Georgia Tech back in 1993.

I was at that game! I'm a few years younger than you, but I do definitely remember that one. I think I've stuck with the women's team all these years because I saw how good they were in the early 90's, when I was an impressionable pre-teen.
I'd also like to see us get one more win, regular season or BTT, before saying we're a lock.
I was there too - it was quite the beatdown. Loved the Kennellys.
Unfortunately I was also at the game against Tennessee a few days later. Also quite the beatdown, if I recall.
I remember watching the NCAA Women's Tourney selection show at Yesterday's and loudly cheering when they showed NU's inclusion and everyone looking at me like I was a doofus. Hey, it's the NCAA Tourney!
Yesterday's.......now THATS a blast from the past! Decent food plus you could order beer. What more could a person ask for in 1978???
