If Wesson is out the rest of the year and Ohio State loses out (they are currently an underdog to us right now), I'm guessing they don't make the tourney. They really don't have any solid wins, besides the Iowa game recently and the first game of the year vs. Cincinnati.

You forgot their quad 1 win at Creighton.

Their resume blows away bubble teams at this point (remember, during the noncon, they actually had a NET ranking of 1!), which is why they are far from a bubble team right now. Thus, I am guessing that they would have to lose out AND lose to us by double digits to drop enough to miss the Dance. Just don't see that happening, Wesson or no.

Will be interesting to see if Wesson is reinstated for Sunday. The Bucks might need to win that one to make the Dance.

And Lunardi has just eight 10 B1G teams in. Not 9. Or more.
Because he genrally seeds the least amount of BIG teams of almost any major bracket predictor. And he has Indiana in next four out, which will go to first four after tonight's waxing of Illinois (a quad 2 win). Still like my prediction of 8-9 a lot more than your prediction of 7...

I recall you predicting 10 on multiple occasions... I don’t recall seeing the 8-9 prediction, but I probably missed the back and forth between you and Fitzy

Link to my predicting 10 specifically? "As many as 10" doesn't count...My predictions are easy to follow, I have a whole thread about them! And Fitzphole admiteed he predicted 7...

Ummmm..... your prediction was "9 or more", not "8 or 9"........

I will say 9 or more. We can see who is correct at the end of the season....[/QUOTE]

Yup, so my prediction still has s high probabilty of being correct (and btw, that prediction was made back when Nebby was clearly in the mix). How about yours?

I have better things to do with my time, and it’s not a big deal anyways. But I recall it on a couple occasions. Early to mid conference season. Regardless, it’s a tough conference

I thought 10 or more was a possibility, and today I stand by that.

I had three primary drivers behind that prediction....

* NU is a senior-heavy team....Pardon, Law, Turner, Falzon, Ash,Taylor....and experience makes a mountain of a difference in college basketball. Injuries took a bite out of this, and lack of a PG put those who could walk into a hole;
* The Big Ten, under the first two or three, is flat. That was correct, I just didn't realize the conference as a whole would be so much better this year, literally no weak teams;
* College basketball is about runs that build confidence in young mens' minds and perpetuate success. NU didn't put together a run all season. There was individual mojo but never team mojo. I don't think NU won a 50/50 game all season....two Iowa losses, Mich loss, Indiana loss....bunch of games under 10 pts. With some religion and luck this team could have won another 4 or so games.

10 or more was possible at one point... now Nebraska is out, the only way 10 could possibly happen is if a bottom feeder wins the BTT. 9 is still possible. I think 8 is the most likely outcome. 7 is possible if OSU loses to Wisconsin, and then again to start the BTT (and Indiana limps in too).

PS Mike- I noticed that in your long thread about B1G schedules that recently got bumped you started it off by saying at least 9 and possibly 10. So maybe I misremembered. But I thought you had said 10 a couple weeks earlier. To be fair this was around the time when a lot of bracketology things had 10 in. But it just seemed unlikely that we'd be able to thread the needle to have all of those teams stay above the line. Illinois, PSU, Rutgers getting a bunch of upsets and Nebby + Indiana slumping sort of screwed that possibility up.

Maybe one 50-50 in the first IL game
