Pollorena was called up in the bullpen in the 4th inning to start throwing. Then, over the course of the next 3 innings, he sat down and got back up to throw 3 different times. I think he may have thrown over 100 pitches over the entirety of his almost 4 inning warm up session. Pollorena didn't have his good stuff because he had already practically thrown half a game by the time he was good and warmed up. I think it was stupid to do him like that. We had Reed throwing at one point in the 6th, then sat him down and had Jones throwing. I don't see why we don't put Reed in for at least the 7th, but maybe in the 6th too to relieve Mitchell.
All I wanted wasone winfrom this tournament to probably secure a 2 seed in a regional. That's all I wanted, and I think throwing Reed today for 3+ innings is what we should have done.
