How do you guys think we match up with these two teams? Which team would you rather play in the playoffs?

I'm with fitty on this one. OU looks like it can stand toe to toe with anyone right now. Just wish we played next weekend. But,,,,,,maybe a few weeks to dial up a few new plays might be helpful.

No doubt OU can play with anyone in the country right now. Though the teams OU faces in the playoffs will be a step up in competition I believe than what they have currently faced. But no reason to think OU can't step up to the challenge and succeed.

Right now the biggest thing I worry about, is the team losing all the momentum they have built up since the Texas game. OU won't be playing next week, while other teams are. The next time OU takes the field, will likely be the semi-final of the playoffs, which is over a month from now. That's alot of down time for a team use to going out and conquering challenges week after week after week. This team needs to find ways to keep that motivation, keep that momentum, keep that drive, keep that focus and energy. Time away from competition is this teams biggest threat at this point.

Bama seems fairly one-dimensional, and Mike Stoops makes those sort of offenses look silly.

Clemson appears to have a great defense. OU's defense is good enough to hold anyone under 40, but Clemson's defense might keep ours even less.

All things considered, I'd rather play Iowa or Michigan State. But, I question Clemson more than Bama. They have had some good wins. But, they have also had some uninspired performances against rather routine teams. I suspect that they may have more speed than Bama. But, I tend to think that pure power wins playoffs, and I fear Bama's power more than Clemson's quick strikes. I do think Clemson may do a better job of keeping our offense in check. But, Bama's power is the deciding factor. I'd rather not see it.

The thing that Clemson has that none of the others have (except OU) is an athletic duel threat QB. The Bama, Iowa, and MSU QBs are good passers but not a threat to hurt a D with their legs. Such talent at the QB position is a huge advantage in a winner take all game.

This is kind of what I'm thinking. I'm not sure I like the way OU's oline matches up against Bama's dline.

We have to run the ball to win.
