On the heels of a rather uninspiring game, what bowl do we go to now? Obviously this is not what we wanted, I still think we go to a pretty good warm weather bowl. We need to put a whooping on UK!

Orange is still most likely destination barring a meltdown next week. Then it's probably Russell Athletic Bowl

And only of Clemson wins the ACC championship. If Clemson would lose were bumped down from the OB and that is a real possibility. I think UNC or VT could beat them.

Orange Bowl if we win out and Clemson wins out. We'd play the highest ranked Big 10+4 team that is not in the playoffs.

After that, who knows.

It's possible for Clemson to lose tomorrow, and we win the ACC title game (assuming we beat UofK) and still get the Orange Bowl bid. The Orange Bowl is about the best we can do now.

If Clemson loses in the ACCCG, then that winner (VT or UNC?) will get the OB. Clemson would be next in line for the next best bowl and we'd get stuck with what's left....more than likely Nashville or Charlotte. Hope that doesn't pan out.

Beat UK and it will be Orange if Clemson or Cards wins ACC Championship game. If Clemson loses ACC Championship game then whoever beats them goes to Orange and Clemson likely goes to Cotton. In that case Cards would likely go to either Citrus if B10 team goes to Orange or Russell Athletic if not.
I'm not going to speculate on what happens if Cards lose to UK.

However if Clemson losses to Wake then we have another opportunity to not screw things up and win the ACC Championship and play in the Orange Bowl. That is the best case scenario because we still have an opportunity to win the ACC and the Orange Bowl and a Heisman.

The game against Houston was as pathetic a performance in a high profile game as I have ever seen. We need to redeem ourselves big time against UK!

Blame the turnovers, not CBP. Let's win out and play in the Orange Bowl. it's short of what we want, but damn, it is the Orange Bowl.

Last night I saw 2 different projections of us vs Michigan in the Orange Bowl. I'd take that one.

The thing I find interesting in those projections is that they don't seem to think the committee is going to put 2 teams from the B1G in the playoff.

The B1G is a mess when it comes to bowls. If OSU beats michigan, Penn State wins the east. OSU doesn't even to the Champ game. So I guess they're assuming OSU beats UM. Somebody wins the B1G, but OSU goes to the playoffs. B1G winner goes to the Rose and UM goes to the Orange.

IF UM beats OSU, the whole bowl picture as we see it now gets blown to hell. They'll basically have to start over on projections.

If Michigan beats Ohio State, it's pretty simple actually. Michigan will go to the Big Ten title game, if they win that, they're in instead of Ohio State.

I think it's set up pretty simple:

- Alabama
- Clemson
- Ohio State/Michigan
- Washington

Of course all those teams could lose in their conference title game, or final game, in a big upset, but I doubt it. If that happens, it's chaos, but otherwise it's looking pretty stable.

You so confident the committee will leave out a 2 loss OSU team? I'm not. I think there's a good chance they'd take a 2 loss OSU over Washington. OSUs 2 losses would be to top 10 Penn State and #3 Michigan. OSU has wins at Oklahoma, at Wisconsin both of which are top 10 teams.

Resume means a lot. Washington doesn't have it at all compared to OSU. I may be wrong, but I think Washington is 1-1 vs ranked teams. The ranked team they beat (Utah) just lost this weekend, thus lowering Washingtons SOS. Then Washington lost badly to a then unranked USC team at home.

If the true goal is to get the 4 best teams, OSU is better than Washington IMO.

Plus we know how much they love OSU and Bama...........

The "IMO" says it all. That's all anybody has in this cock-a-maime CFP. Meanwhile, a 24 team field prepares to play for a real national title in FCS.

Exactly. This limiting the playoffs to just 4 teams is nonsense. ALL it takes is one bad game and you're out UNLESS you are Michigan or some other blue blood program that seems to be given a pass when they stumble. It's absurd.

Yep, the IMO does say it all because when you get right down to it, it's the opinion of a group of people.

Did you know that Condoleeza Rice is on the committee?

Maybe they could make the committee up of all former Secretaries of State. Kissinger, Kerry, Rice, Powell, etc. Hell, it would be no worse than the crew they have now.

Did you know Condoleezza Rice was on the short list for NFL Commish?

She knows as much about FB as any of those idiots on ESPN.

And I've said for three weeks that it's being set up to have a 2 loss team in the PO's. I don't know who it will be other than tOSU. They are a lock from the sound of above said idiots.

But I'l make a wager there is a 2 loss team in the FF.
