What could this 26-27 team do

Lowe / Rippey
Jasper / Holt / Chandler
Kam / Maximo / Noah / Hawthorne
Stokes / Mo D
Major Transfer / Moreno / Potter

I’d love to get Muurinen if Mo D leaves. But I see him returning and Jelevic entering the draft if he performs well. We’ll have to get a 5 in the portal that can immediately step in and give us 12-15 and 8 as well as rim protection and defense. We need a top tier transfer here. I’d love Diane but we’re gonna get some transfers. Boy as many imo. But that team. A Sr. Lowe would be a top 5 PG in the country. Jasper and Kam should be big time scorers / shooters. Stokes is gonna be the best player in college. Then Rippey. Holt. Maximo. Mo D and Moreno off the bench would give us supreme depth. But say the transfer 5 is a JQ like impact big that’s a championship team.

They’d have to take major steps considering Lowe and Jasper and Kam could return and were true contenders for all of Tay. Rippey. Holt. Smith. Howard. Maximo. Thompson and Cloer. Plus transfers. Not to mention what Hawthorne could be

What’s nuts is this is more than possible give or take. And if you take out Maximo and put Howard that’s fine. Or Smith instead of Holt. Or not even get a 2 lol. Rippey would play a lot off the ball in 2 PG lineups.

That would be a pretty much a perfect mix of talent, upperclassmen with lots of game experience and NBA talent. I’d love that roster. Especially if the C we picked up was elite.

I can tell you definitely what they WON'T do....all be on the Kentucky roster for 26-27.

In this day and age, keeping half of those guys is a win.

Chandler isn't coming back to be 3rd string.

Man. Idk. I get he flashed last year. I hope he turns into a Saunders type stud. But I see him as the 10th man this year. Aberdeen. Jasper are both better. If Noah is the better shooter. And that’s what we need. Somebody who can come in. Hit 2-3 spot up 3’s real fast. Noah could be ahead of Chandler.

If you are correct, he will transfer before coming back here to be 3rd string as a junior. That was kinda where I was going with my response

Noah is going to be really good as well. I see both of them being front line starters as Jrs

They’d have to really show out this year to both start. I don’t see it happening Brodie. I could see them being backups at the 2 and 3. To me. That’d be scary unless they just kill it this year. But either way I don’t see either starting over either a year 2 Jasper. Year 3 Kam. Or any of the 2G and wings we’re recruiting. Maximo. Howard etc are bigger who can also shoot but do a lot more and are a lot more athletic. Maybe I’m being prejudice lol. But I think one stepping up as a solid backup would be a win. They aren’t Reed or Herro but if that happened I’d be really worried about the team next year.

Lot of kids at UK and at all other schools that averaged 2-3 as a freshman and 15-16 as Jr's. Those kids are talented, hard workers. IMO, Cal's one and done recruiting style has made it hard to remember that's how it normally works
