I was messing with the internet this morning and ran across something I thought might be interesting. See if it rings a bell to any of you.

The number of times Gary mentions (the refs)-(Joel Berry) for his numbers and nonsense threads for UNC's ACC games this season?

Having attended Duke 1971-75, that looks just about right for our record around that time. Not a pretty sight by any means. But I know and agree with the point you are making: why are we complaining so much about the current state of affairs?

Because standards are different and you never lower them no matter how high they get.

If there were message boards back then it may have been that bad, but that's what happens when you start winning as K has done at Duke. I'm sure there were unhappy fans back then too

Exactly. Some people always throw out there how bad it was before.. well this isn't before this is now with the GOAT and talent galore. We should NEVER expect anything other than greatness. We should be above that

CRAZIE4LIFE and Liftee are right. It's the won-loss record dfor Duke from 1969 to 1977. I'm proud to say I became a Duke fan in 1960, was still a Duke fan from 1969-1977 and am still a Duke fan and always will be even if we go through seasons like 1969-77 once again. Proud to be one along with all of you. OFC

You are a great fan sky.

I don't ever see Duke returning to the mediocrity of the early '70s because of the coaching pipeline and culture Coach K has created. I remember how bleak things looked when whatshisname skyped his way to UNC instead of Duke and we have been fine since then, thank you very much.

I was going to quote this but I see Sky has released the beast.

We are very fortunate to have such a consistent winning program. As all can see it wasn't always that way. Always been proud to be a Duke fan but it was also tough to be a Duke fan. OFC
