What does Charlie Strong have in common with John Blake?

Five times Saturday night, the Horns only had ten players on the field for special teams.

At least Charlie was consistent. Blake's teams more than occasionally threw a dozen guys out there on special teams, apparently to prove John's versatility.

Oh man, sometimes your understated, wry sense of humor is gold.:)

My goodness, Blake was a nightmare.

Do you remember that dumb deal he tried his first year, (3-8) where no starters in the two deep played on any special teams. That's right, he was afraid they'd get hurt.
Insane!

As I understand it, the AD, who was that Donnie Duncan, or Steve Owens, called him in and just flat told him to line up the best players with the best hands regardless.
That was the worst!

The only John Blake I choose to remember was the terrific lineman back in the Switzer era!
