Willie Brown of Murphy, Pig Bryson of Tuscola, Carl Pickens (after his pro-career), and the remaining Streaters of Sylva-Webster. Now there were some great players....

I saw Willie Brown a few weeks ago, he's doing good. Looked fit and like he could still put up a 1,000 yard season lol. I believe Pig Bryson has sadly passed away not long ago. I think Eric is the only Streater brother still living? Some of the all time greats in WNC football for sure. I hate that Willie should've become an NFL star and didn't but his legacy lives on as being mentioned by the original poster proves once again.

Jimmy "the Sylva Streak" Streater passed in 2004 and Steve Streater passed in 2009. I've linked a good Raleigh News and Observer article that came out shortly after Steve's death. Eric Streater played a little bit in the NFL and is the only of the 3 still living.

Pig Bryson was killed in 1993. His assailant was charged with murder but wound up being convicted of manslaughter.
