In The Paddock? What are they for and what's the diff between them? Also, why are those long-time posters so protective of The Paddock?

With no offense to anyone, what is the draw to the paddock. I've looked at it out of curiosity after seeing it referenced here a couple of times. The more I see it the less interest I have in it. Could someone enlighten me as to what's so interesting over there? What is it that I am missing, because nothing pops out?

In my experience, it's mainly long-time posters posting on various topics. I thought it was supposed to be for topics unrelated to the other forums. I've posted a bit there, but they have treated me like I'm not cool or smart enough.

Well one of the couple of times I've peeked in, I clicked on a topic about someone mowing their yard, with several follow up posts in the thread. It was then I decided "someone's misinformed about what constitutes as 'interesting'." It doesn't hold enough interest for me. Perish the thought of it being guard-worthy.

Gotta agree with Gonzo.

I just wouldn't go over there. It's where the vile, disgusting, vulgar, degenerates go to post that, honestly, just makes the UK fanbase look awful. They all think they're funny but have no sense of humor.

If you post there and you're not careful, you have random anonymous posters look you up on BOTH Google and Twitter... probably to find out as much personal information as possible in preparation to murder you....like a real creep/stalker.

I'd just stay on the safe side and stick to Rafters. It's not worth it.

Definitely go into the GYERO thread and ask em what it means, though. Report back here. I've always wondered myself.

I like you Jason, and I think you're pretty funny, but I know better. I'll stay here with the commoners.

They've gone out of their way to make me feel unwelcome.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I just checked in over there between my last post and your response. I stand by my last post. Some of the topics are absolute snoozers. I can assure you . . . like me, you're missing absolutely nothing. There's probably a Spencer for Hire rerun out there somewhere with a slight - slight - bit more excitement. Slim margin, but I'd bet my last dollar on it.

The paddock is pretty cool and fun. I go over there daily. But for some posters, they couldn't handle it. You have to be able to not take it so seriously or a personal attack.

The paddock plays for blood. Go big or go home. There are some good posters there with funny takes but you will find some douchebags, I'll let you figure out who they are. If you dare challenge one of the forefathers the wrath will be brought down upon thee lol. The best threads are when people are seeking advice and expect a serious answer, good luck with that.
