We have tons of guys that can penetrate and score in the paint. Including our big guys ,Young and Nance! Huge difference. I saw Berry drive in and kick it out to Kopp. The only guy I am worried about shooting deep threes is Gaines! He is not fluid enough. Kopp,Berry, and Boo are all over 40% this year! Frigging bombers!

I think improved offensive balance, continued defensive effort, better shooting, increased confidence, and good team chemistry are all playing a role. Hope they continue to build on those things over the course of the season.

1. Buie: steadier, more consistent, more aggressive. last year he would disappear this year he is the leader on the floor.

2. Nance: better in all phases: rebounds, toughness, strength, defense, scoring. Finally showing glimpses of the potential everyone saw.

3. Kopp: Can shoot off the dribble a bit better whereas last year he was a statue when he defenses closed out.

4. Beran: tougher, stronger

5. Audige: can create shots, athleticism--obviously didn't play last year and this has always been a major issue for us.

6. Young: picked up where he left off, knows what he can do after playing against murder's row of big men last year

7. Berry: sweet shooting stroke is a great equalizer, plays with poise for a frosh.

8. Greer: steadier all around. CC trusts him.

9. Gaines: he's back healthy!

And most of all we have some maturity and resilience after a year of getting crushed at the end of games.
