What is the solution?

Obviously, we are all ready for a change, a glimmer of hope. We all want to see this program succeed and I believe we will see that one day, but, for the time being, we all have these list of complaints, but no realistic solution to the problems we face. Obviously it is easy for us to sit behind these computer screens and say "Well lets fire Stoop and Barnhart and get some new faces in here!". That just is not a realistic solution at this point in time due to contracts, unless someone wants to step up and donate the program 12 million dollars just to get a new coach. So with that being said, what is a real solution that can happen? Is there any actual hope for the foreseeable future or is this dumpster fire just going to continue to grow? For the life of me, and for the first time in my watching of UK Football, I can't think of a thing that is going to help this, and it is absolutely demoralizing.... If any of you all have an idea of what can realistically happen, I'd love to hear it. Sound off.

Play better football
Score more points than the other team
Make fewer mistakes

Now, as to "HOW" that happens, I don't know. That's for Mitch and Co., to figure out

I suppose that they (coaches/players) will have to take a harsh look at themselves and the way that each of them is handling their individual assignments. Every down, every play, to see where they are getting beat and what they need to do to win those individual battles.

I think I've essentially run out of all but the very faintest glimmer of hope that UK football will ever be decent again. Going out and getting another coach after this year or after next just means another couple of years of building. We haven't had a winning season in 6 years already. Other than Brooks and Mumme, no coach we've brought in here has managed to be successful.

And by the way, is it time to re-name the field to Coach Brooks Field or at least put a statue up at the stadium? What the man did here when viewed against the results of all others for the last 30 years was nothing short of amazing.

The players and more so the coaches need to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror and question their character. The only player I have seen, that actually cares, is Jordan jones. Stoops for one needs to donate part of his salary to charity. 2 he needs to get rid of his butt buddy Eliot followed my our fat OL coach. And then bench every player that doesn't put in 100% effort. Play walkons, play freshman. Because I guarantee they'll give more heart than what these players are giving

I agree with this. I honestly don't even care that much if we win or lose at this point. I just want to see something that faintly resembles effort and organization. If I can't see effort and if we look like we're completely disorganized without a cohesive plan, then it's tough for me to be a fan.

One thing you change is Kash for Love....ok that sounds bad but CL though I think is a young man who cares is not that talented.

Put KD in the game and let him learn....another is get Meyers out and play Stenberg.

It is way past old watching Meyers get man handled at the line.

Pringle has to play over Elam, had a pretty good showing Saturday.

Sure there are others ....hell let Jones tell us.

Simple.... Recruit and develop better interior linemen on both sides of the ball. Football is a line of scrimmage sport. That is the only way to compete in this conference.

There doesn't seem to be a single coach on this staff doing his job. Someone needs to step up motivate and organize the entire coaching staff and team. If it means bringing someone in to be a tough SOB and make everyone accountable then do it. This should be on the HC, but as everyone knows he's not getting it done. Can't fire the coach then just find the guy to come in and do it. If Stoops doesn't like this then he can leave.

Great question, the next coach here must know he has to produce before he gets a raise or extension, how many times has UK been in this position only to be burned again and again. The school has hired a lot of good coaches who had a few good years here and then it was like it is now more often than not. This is not a job just anybody wants to jump at, the SEC is and will always be the toughest conference and Kentucky will always face an uphill battle to just stay around 500 and no big name coach would hang around more than 5 years anyway. Like Miss State and Auburn in basketball, they are always getting new coaches and never getting anywhere, maybe a few good years then back to mediocrity again. I never thought we would have top notch facilities but now we do and I want us to have a good football program too. I was proud to be a Kentucky fan when Curci was here, we could play with anybody then. When you have 4 of the best years of recruiting ever, you should have something to show for it, but I'm not seeing much of a change especially in the defensive line, so you have to think coaching is some of it. We have had to many discipline problems and injuries at that position the last several years, are we getting the right kind of kids. Something has to change soon or all of those good upgrades to the facilities will be for naught. If other programs in the SEC have good basketball and football, we should be able to here.

Burn the locker room down and make the players wear pink until they want to get out of the powder puff leagues.
