Rinse thoroughly and beat your razor into a towel to completely DRY!! This prevents water forming bits of rust and residue from your skin. Blades last me 3 months.
I’ve been using them for a couple of years now. Never had an issue.

Dollar Shave Club blades are trash.
Honestly, The throw away Bic shavers are hard to beat. You can get a damn gross of them on Amazon for a song. Use them twice, and throw them the f@@@ away.

I use Pace/Dorco brand through their site or Amazon, whichever has the better price at the time. It’s what Dollar Shave Club used to use. Not sure if they still do.

A DE safety razor is pretty damn comfortable. More than just about anything else.
They’re heavy though, and take a little more time IMO.
Bic disposables though are light, cheap, fast, and damn near as comfortable.

Goes without saying though, blades are anything BUT one size fits all. I’ve got a medium beard, and only have to shave every other day, but everyone knows the guy that looks like a hobo by 6:00 intone evening. A Bic probably isn’t going to handle that mess.
There isn't a better razor on the market than a mach3. No idea why people like to get away with being cheap when it's your face we're talking about.

The Walmart knockoff of the fusion is pretty good at a fraction of the cost.

It's a strange irony. We have gold to shave with, but gold is a very soft metal. Our beards are so coarse due to the historic levels of testosterone running through each of us that gold just won't cut it, so to speak.
My wife goes to the after Christmas sales and buys up a bunch of those leftover gift sets that have razors and shaving cream in them for half price. That plus a set of Gillette blades from Costco keep me going for a few years. I have a beard now, so I've been using an old Gillette 5 blade razor to trim my neck.
Harry's. $15 for 8 blade refills. FFS, those last me a long time. Been using them for a few years now.
I shave with a bladed razor twice per week. The other five days I use an electric. Using this system a single blade lasts me about 4-6 weeks.

I've used DSC for several years, but since I've retired, I usually only shave 2-3 times a week or less. Right now I'm stocked with a dozen blades. I should shave every day, but ****ing hate shaving. I've tried to grow a beard, but that sucks too. I have never been able to get past the stage of it not itching like Hell and after a couple of weeks I'll have to shave it off.
Electric works well for me, bought a phillips norelco 6 six years ago that still works as well or better than blades. (I have thin whiskers though) Also bought a panasonic grated razor works better on thick growth but not as smoothe as the norelco. Still lesss expensive than buying new blades frequently.
Who still pays for them ? shoplift like everyone does
Dollar Shave Club, but use the 2-blade, “Humble Twin.” They cant replicate the higher blade count, but the two-blade is their loss leader and is great.
I have tried Harry's and think shavers might notice the blade angle is different than a Gillett.... Will it be a big deal to them? Hell if I know... It's just different.
Been using a Track III for years and that's my sweet spot... I'd settle for the Track II but you can't find the stick easy... Personally I don't see the Harry's being better than a Track III but I'm a beard that doesn't need five blades going at me.... But if you do then give Harry's a try... But I still like Gillett products...

I shave every day, so I never have very thick beard hair, so I’m probably not a good guy to give advice about good blades.
False. Drying them prevents them from rusting no matter what blade you use. Been doing it for over 25 years. Something my drill sergeant taught me in basic training. Also have been using Gillette sensors that long as well. My blades last about 3 months.

Lol. Great thread. I love German cars, but razors? I’m pretty sure we got that covered. I buy the cheap Bics. Like a dollar for a dozen. They work just fine. Some things are worth spending more for. Razors are not one of them.
They will even shave a few DUIs off your driving record!
