Best game(s) was the inaugural win when the series was renewed against UofL. It was the first game of the year and ended up being the only win of the season I think. Who would of thought at the time that another win wouldnt come? The first season for Mumme when we put up 38 against Louisville in his debut was also exciting. It was a big change from the decade of anemic Bill Curry offenses.

The worst or most heartbreaking game I ever went to was when Higgs couldnt get in from the one or two against UT. I think it was a stop that kept us from a bowl game. Defined Kentucky football on that goal line stand by UT.

I dont think many games can beat the CFB atmosphere from this years Georgia game. Was a loss, sadly.

Big wins include the '07 ul win; the '97 Bama win; wins over Clemson, and Fla in the '80's; wins over unc, and sec teams in 77.

Worst losses: Agree on the UT game. Blamed Claiborne at first for not trying to score with someone other than Higgs. Other ut games: including the one in the snow when we got up like 21-0...the one JL threw an interception when we were close to scoring.
Need I mention the LSU game?

UL and LSU games in 2007. Worst games I've seen have to be some of those blowout games in the Curry era.(73-7 Florida 1994 comes to mind)

Agree about the 3-0 Indiana Win and the loss to Ohio U on homecoming.
We were even wearing throwbacks to pay homage to a past team and still played flat as a pancake.
As a youngster I was at a game with my father when we played UGA - early 80's and I honestly think we might not have gotten a first down the entire game - it was such a mismatch. It had to have been bad for me to remember it 30+ yrs later (I'm 46)

The two best I saw in person - "Stevie got loose" and the 7 OT loss to Ark. Wife and I stayed until the final snap and there couldn't have been more that 20k left in the building when JLo and co. made the comeback to tie it - just an awesome game even taking the L

I've only had season tickets for a few years now but the best had to be South Carolina 2 years ago when Bud picked off the QB for a TD. Worst had to be against Vandy. Left at Halftime. We were about 4 people of about 20 in the upper deck.

Worst - TIE Loss to Florida (Wuerffel to Doering)1993; Loss to LSU (Bluegrass Miracle) 2002.

Best - EASILY Win over #1 and eventual National Champion LSU (OT win ending with UK stop on 4th down) 2007.

I feel certain we will be involved in several great games next season, and win them more often than not.

Bad- Doering, BGMiracle, UT (name your yr other than Roark yr), any home blowout.

Best - Alabama 97, ole miss 93, Stevie Got Loose, 99 LSU

Weirdest (new category)
Texas State - rained like crazy over just CWS and flooded the joint pre game. I've been there for the UL Lightning games, but that day for TSU was the weirdest wx event I'd seen up to that point

One of the worst was the '93 loss to the Gators. I think Wuerffel was intercepted 6 times that day. Another was to Tenn. when MHiggs was denied at the goal line 3 different times at the end of the game. The Bluegrass Miracle probably takes the cake.

Best games were beat down of Penn St. Matt Shuey and Chuck Fusina in '76, I think. Seems like Kovach and Kirchbaum beat the hell out of Fusina. Another great win was a few games earlier when the Cats wore out Terry Robiske during a snowy night game. I enjoyed Curry's shocking win against Georgia in '96, the same year as the 3-0 Indiana win. Favorite win is the Alabama game, second favorite is Louisvile win with Stevie getting loose.

Curci getting Tenn. 10-7 in his last game at UK was most sentimental.

I was at the 3-0 Indiana game back in '97 (i believe). Still remember that and I was in 8th grade at the time. Poured rain that entire game which just added insult to injury with how horrible both teams played. Awful!

I was at that IU game in 1996 (first year of college OT)

My fear was we were going into OT of that 3-0 debacle

My best wins: 1986 win over the Gators, the 2011 win over UT, 1994 win over UL, 1987 win over LSU.

Only non-win to go in the best category is the 7OT loss to Arkansas. A disappointing loss, but a helluva game.

Worst losses: Bluegrass Miracle vs LSU in 2002, Loss to Alabama in 1988, Losses to UT in 1987 and 2001

I was at the Texas State game. and you're right. That was an odd day.

The best game for me was the UGA game in 2006. That to me was the turning point for Rich Brooks.

The worst has to be the loss to Ohio in 04.

My favorite was the 2007 games against Louisville and LSU. My horrible experience was actually a win when we beat Indiana 3-0 in a wet soaked game. Indiana was driving to win and Alex smith fumbled the ball. That night was awful. Rained the entire game.

Favorite: 2007 LSU, for sure

Worst: So many to choose from. My top choices are 2007 Tennessee (still hurts), 2009 Florida (31-0 after one quarter), and 2015 Florida (Dorian Baker catches that pass on the first drive and we win the game I'm convinced to this day)

Best was the very first one in Commonwealth. VPI and head coach Fran Curci's first game. The reason: I drove up from Florida with my 3 year old son to take him to a UK football game. I wanted him to be a Wildcat though living in Florida. The worst. Too many to relive. I would rather forget them. But if I had to pick one, Florida 1993.

There were too many blowouts I attended to pick one worse. As for my favorite it would probably have to be the 2008 USCjr game. It was freezing and 90% of the stadium left and those of us that stayed raised pure hell and we came back to win the game. I remember having to run all the way to the section beside mine to give someone a high five when we took the lead. Coach Brooks even talked about how much noise we were making after the game in the post game radio show. Those bleachers make a **** load of noise when they are empty and you can jump up and own on them. lol

My bests and worst are pretty old. I was there for the last UK win over Florida. At the time it wouldn't have gone down as a best game but given what has happened since I think you would have to put it on the list. There aren't too many that were actually in attendance for UK beating Florida.

Worst game I can't even remember who it was. Miami Ohio I think. It was one of Bill Curry's miserable defeats to a MAC team. I just remember not being able to wait to get out of there.

Best: Louisville and LSU 2007
Worst: Ohio 2004
Most heartbreaking: Tennessee 2007 and Florida 2003.

Honorable mention for atmosphere: Georgia 2016. Though a loss, the atmosphere in Commonwealth was so amazing.

Worst game I ever attended was the Florida game in 1990.

I remember we got a safety that game that was pretty neat. But everything fell apart shortly after that.

Best game might have been LSU in 1999 when Dusty Bonner & Co. blew them out.

Other really bad games were UL in 1999 and UL in 2001.

Pookie Jones getting booed was the worst experience. I think it was against Vandy.

One of the best beating Bama in OT. Couch to Yeast.

Best was 2002 vs. Indiana. Worst was the game vs. Eastern in 2015. Most Disappointing was 2001 vs. LSU. No I didn't see the Bluegrass Miracle but I saw LSU make a game winning touchdown.

Best ... 1997 Alabama (Bama was pretty crap that year under Mike Dubose, but the atmosphere and the game itself were amazing. We sat (or actually stood almost the whole game) in the Alabama visitor section and they were some of the coolest opposing fans ever - super supportive of their own team, but also knowledgeable and great sportsmanship to us. LSU 2007 - beating the #1 and future national champions! Some honorable mentions: Arkansas 7 OT game, awesome game, just hate that we lost. LSU 1999 someone mentioned was fun. Louisville 2007. Georgia 2006 when that and Miss St we realized Brooks finally had things turned around. Lots of games I went to with my Dad in the 70's and 80's though I'm trying to remember the standouts.

Worst - another vote for Indiana 3-0 1996 despite it being a win. Miserable game in crappy weather. Only sort of positive is my uncle was president of a bank and gave us his seats. It was the first game I ever went to with my now ex-wife. (sidenote: my uncle's dad played for Knute Rockne, so he was invited as a preferred walkon at Notre Dame. Chose WKU because they offered a scholarship, but quit football on the first day of Fall practice and drove to Lexington to enroll at UK to study business. Not a bad decision. Also he really, really disliked Bill Curry long before it was popular.) 1997 LSU - we were in the upper deck, freezing rain, UK was up at halftime and then got shutout and blown out in the 2nd half by a Dinardo squad :( By the 4th Q we could count the other people in the upper deck; but we stayed to the end. At least the Cats came back to 2 really nice wins over LSU in 98 and 99. Ohio homecoming. Whatever Louisiana Monroe used to be called. LSU / Morriss Gatorade game. Lots of pathetic games, and some good ones until defeat was snatched from the jaws of victory; but those were probably the most miserable.
