What Mark Stoops has done at UK in two .5 years is crazy! Just look at us!

We have threads about a 5 star running backs decision, people are watching the Army All-American game, We are asking if 7-5 will be a failure! We are a blown penalty call away from bowl eligibly. New facilities! Renovated stadium! After Jokers departure, I wouldn't believe this success could happen so early. If any Kentucky fan doesn't see the change, go ahead and find a new team to pull for because nobody ever promised it would be easy.

I just want to start winning some games..all of the peripheral things are nice but wins are what counts at the end of the day..Kentucky football fans are tired of being the butt of football jokes..just yesterday Colin Cowherd was making fun of how bad Kentucky football is..it's time for wins

When you are as bad as we were with a coach named Joker, it's hard not to laugh at.

I like stoops and it appears to be headed in the right direction but again you have to see results. Both seasons it seemed we did not progress by the end if the season which to me is not a good sign. We have to upgrade we can't have players like mcwilson playing SEC defense . Plus other schools are spending money on stadiums and experienced assistant coaches. We do have new facilities and some energy on the recruiting front but we must build on that and improve by getting some W's period'

I think with everything we have in the wings and a new point man along with a very gifted running back we should see a marked improvement all the way around!

He's actually only been here 25 months and yes, what he's been able to accomplish thus far in recruiting and changing the direction of the program is crazy.

I agree with the OP to a certain extent but the jury's still out. We lost our last six games and we were humiliated in most of them. Marrow may be leaving and Damien Harris is undecided at this point. Really hope we get over the hump and it's entirely possible. But we need some big things to go our way. The next week will be very interesting.

I love the mantra that Stoops repeats over and over again..."Recruit and Develop", the recruiting is going well, and as long as these players can develop into even better players, things will be looking good

ManRoar, unfortunately it takes time to build SEC depth. Everyone should step back and think about one thing - we competed very well early, we won two SEC games and competed early- as the season wore on our, pardon the pun, our troops wore down. Depth, Depth it's depth that wins in the long run. We are getting VERY close!

Go Big Blue!

I don't understand why folks can't understand the toll that 8 straight weeks of football and 7 straight SEC games took on this team. The UL game is what people should be looking at. We looked totally different just in energy from what we had for the previous several games.

Next years team will be the most talented team we've had since 2007. Still a bit young but will have lots of talent. If we get Harris our backfield will be near the top of the SEC in quality and depth.

Stacked at WR, some young talent at TE, and an even more improved QB. OL still a question mark but believe it improves as well.

Defense can only get better, even with losing Bud and Z. Comparing where we were 3 years ago and where we are today should meet most fans 'eye' test.

I don't buy these kinds of arguments because the rest of the SEC has to play SEC games as well. If we're not deep, then that's a problem. Hopefully MS will have improved that next season.

Jeebus, people. We're not deep. And it is a problem. But it's not a problem you fix with one recruiting class. When you're not deep and you're playing SEC teams week in and week out, you're going to suffer. Just because a player is on the field does not mean he's at 100%.

I love that our fan base is starting to have expectations, but they have to be tempered with reality.

We aren't deep. It is a problem. It takes time to correct such a problem.

So you're calling Mark Stoops a liar? Because he said as much after the UL game.

The recruiting has been a big improvement - the development half (which is more important) hasn't seemed to take root

Is 4-8 or 3-9 a failure? That's where this team is headed right now. The problem is, other that the facilities/stadium, I don't see much change in the team. Still have the "Maginot Line" defense that is giving up 253 yards running and 289 yards passing per game. Meanwhile having an offense that last game was 3-14 for 55 yds and 3 ints.
