besides a beer, is a true, legitimate 3rd party.

I think most Americans are like a majority of the people that post on this board, and are close to center as far as being a little to somewhat liberal or a little to somewhat conservative. Unfortunately, right now, it seems both parties are run by the far left/far right extremes. When you're attempting to pass legislation, there's absolute no way you can accomplish anything, when you have the extremes battling against one another. They couldn't be no further apart when it comes to most issues. If we ever get to a point where the extremes of one party rule both chambers, as well as the Presidency, that's when America will stop being the America that most of us love and cherish.

Back in the day, the extremes on both sides were a huge minority, but now days, they both have just enough majority to be the ones in power. To take back this country, I honestly feel we need a 3rd party, one made up of both democrats and republicans, that are all somewhat close to that center line.

I don't think a third party will work in America. While I would agree with the house is far left. I wouldn't call the senate far right. And almost feel like Trump is a 3rd party of sorts. Especially his first two years he wasn't accepted by either party.

Why do you think the left is burning, pulling down status, defacing monuments while blue mayors and governors stand by. You don't burn down and destroy things you love, they are destroying something they hate and that is America as founded.

Your choice this election is simple, the left use to try and hide it, not tell you what they really wanted, but it is all out there now. If you vote democrat you are voting to destroy this country as founded. The Republicans aren't perfect by any means but that is your only choice if you want to maintain a Constitutional Republic.

This page is a great example of why a third party won't work. Original thought not in full lock step with the party line is not tolerated. Each side defends their party at all costs instead of holding them to any reasonable standard.

While I would agree with this concerning the democrats I would completely disagree with you on Republicans. I am a perfect example, I am a West Virginian first, American second. I guess you could call me conservative but I consider my self a Constitutionalist way more than I consider myself a Republican.

That all sounds great but how do you "get along" with folks who hate the country and what it is? Naw, the Left has to be defeated. Preferably by a landslide. Then we can fix some of the sh*t they've screwed up.

I would have agreed with you about 15 years ago. The dumbing down of the republican party in those years has been amazing.
