Jennifer Garner really isn't THAT attractive.

22 movies ago to be exact (mostly bad ones). He did Jersey Girl with Jennifer Lopez in 2004 while they were dating. The next movie he did was Elektra with Jennifer Garner in 2005 where the two started dating. Both pictures are good examples of the awful variety of his movies.

Not really an affleck fan, but I don’t get bent out of shape regarding his bad movies. I didn’t go see them - and if somebody wants to pay him to make a crappy movie so be it. If you offered me a million bucks to make a lame movie with Jennifer Lopez, I’m doing it.
You left off a Zero. He got $10 million to make Jersey Girl and $12.5 million for Gigli with JLo. The latter is considered by many to be in the top 10 worst movies of the past 25 years.

A lot of movies are cheap. Throw $20-$30 million against the wall. If it sticks even a little you get $50 million back immediately and a $2 million a year for it to replay on TV, Netflix, HBO, etc.
If it hits real big you get $100 million plus and $5-$10 million a year.
Then you get a shot with Disney or somebody at making $200 million movies that gross $500 million plus.
