I have it on personal experience that my 1977 Dodge Aspen which was packing a 225in³ slant six could do 0-60 inches in less than that back in the late 80s.

I found myself unfamiliar with this Aspen of which you speak. I googled it, and an article with pics came up. Thought it might stir some memories. My dad had the Gran Torino wagon with the 351 Cleveland. He scared the crap out of us kids on the Autobahn when we are stationed in Germany.

So Dodge is telling us that their 1025 horsepower 4300 pound car is quicker than a 1600 horsepower Koenigsegg Jesko that weighs in at 3130 pounds?

Is that what Dodge is telling us? Because I'm not buying it.

Search is telling me 2.7, which sounds absurdly conservative. You can buy a nice used Tesla S Plaid, which purports 1.99, for $70k-ish. And it has good range. I’m just a cheap buyer.

It could be a question of gearing, but who knows?

Is a Koenigsegg really a production car? How many were made, like 100?

Not sure, but I do know that my old 69 Impala could beat a fancy Ford Torino (the Starsky and Hutch car) off the line. Only did it once--in a spot where it was 55 (old Street Rd north of Old York Rd.). But 350 and a four-barrel carb beats 302--every time.

It’s really all about traction at this point. What engineer figured it out the best
