During an interview with The Field of 68, new Louisville signee Sananda Fru said that he was told by a teammate in Germany that Cardinal fans are the “best in the world.” That teammate? Former Kentucky forward Tre Mitchell.

"I think they have a great fan base,” Fru said. “My teammate, he played at Kentucky last year, he told me ‘Louisville, like, they’ve got the best fans in the whole world, basically.’ They’ve already reached out and sent me some DMs. I’m super thankful, super happy, and I can’t wait to get over and touch down in Louisville.”

Seven posts in and all seven posters were immediately able to pick up on this not being accurate.

That's an incredible batting average for this message board, maybe even historic. Usually by now, someone takes the info, misinterprets it, and creates a whole false narrative based on that narrative.

He didn’t, my UofL friend sent me that. I told him that was BS before Mitchell called him out on X about it. I doubt Mitchell saw the best of the UofL fanbase when they averaged 5k people a game while he played here.

I hope it was false. I was like no way this is total BS but then looked at the source and it was from Sports Illustrated so who knows 🤷🏽

I think as the years go by, folks will see that MANY of UK's players under Calipari didn't think all that highly of the team they played for (or its fans).

I question Kentucky fandom of anyone who immediately defaults to accepting Kentucky player of saying this from a Louisville player.

Mods, please ban obvious Louisville fan troll who is insulting a former Kentucky wildcat.
