We should be a Final Four team. But the Tournament can be random.
But we need some type of SEC crown ... regular season or tournament. It has been too long.
I just want to be consistent, be ranked in the Top 10 most (if not all of the season). And I have faith with Pope (I would have zero if Cal was the coach).

With the most expensive roster in basketball comes expectations. SEC regular season champs, SEC Tournament champs and a F4. If it’s not something close to that then Pope should feel some heat. We’ve sacrificed football to be great in basketball again. We better be.
I want to see a soul sucking, mind destroying, slap your momma and crawl up your *** defense. I want to see the opposing team taking oxygen because there is no air in the gym. Leading the nation in lowest points against and lowest percentage. Next. Passing. Quick. Sharp. Interior . Thirdly, rebounding. We need to channel big O. Did I mention defense?

Obviously we all want #9 but I agree with you. We are untested and even Pope himself is saying the exhibition season games are really needed to get a look at how we mesh.
We have an abundance of talent and I have faith in Pope to pull it all together but winning a natty is going to be leap with some of these unknowns. Especially injuries and JQ not playing.
I will pull hard for them but will not be surprised to see us lose some games all us fans want to se them win.
I won't bet against Pope pulling this off and doing something remarkable.
I'm gonna let this simmer a bit longer before I launch into a National Championship projection.
Man I hope this all works out and we go on a crazy run.
I’ll say for sure after game 1, but I see us winning the Sec old school style (easily), elite 8 at minimum.

I think we saw a decent clip of that last year. There were only a couple of games where I was pissed at the effort.
I always expect the team to improve over the offseason and build off the season before. Meaning at least a round further in the Tournament. In this case, the team Pope assembled is deep and talented enough to win the National Championship. Hoping for this team to stay healthy this year and go on a deep run after injuries were a major blow to last year's team.

I only remember the SEC tourney game against Alabama where we didn’t even show.
We were so banged up by then I can't fault that one. And Bama was just a very bad match up for us.
The Arky game and the Ohio State games. THOSE were the ones I was just like....."Really?"
Probably right. But I was in Bridgestone in very expensive seats and we didn’t even show.
Maybe they waved the white flag once Butler wasn’t going to play?
OK, just announce it then and we could go home. Save me a hotel bill and I wouldn’t have bought the tickets.
I now say 8 - 8 in SEC and NCAA bid. This is a very dysfunctional…but a very talented team. Not a team you want to meet in the NCAA tournament. This is like inviting your bi-polar crazy uncle to the picnic…not sure who is going to show up…but you know it is going to be interesting.
Can’t see us breaking .500 in the conference unless there’s a drastic change which I don’t expect. We’ve been drilled by all top 25 teams outside of St John’s at the time, I just can’t see making the tournament if we can’t get to 8-9 SEC wins. Getting out of the first or second round would be doubtful anyhow.
My new expectation is that we lose out...and then be pleasantly surprised if we get a W here or there. Are there any worse losses out there than Mizzoo at home?

Looks like a lot of predictions by people before they knew much about the players. It’s hard when it’s mostly a new team each year to predict anything.
Not me. I watched multiple games from every single player other than Moreno, Jasper, Potter, Hawthorne and Jelavic. I was locked in and knew what to expect with every individual player. I still picked an Elite Eight —- no excuse for being that naive.
