WVU isn't leaving the Big-12. But, you are not required to be a part of it if it bothers you so much. The door is that way ----->OK here we go
Thanks for your reply, you can now proceed this way <<<<WVU isn't leaving the Big-12. But, you are not required to be a part of it if it bothers you so much. The door is that way ----->
That's because we will be leaving, it's only a matter of time.I chose the last one since the choice of never was not there.
Keep the faith man. Where are we going? CUSA? Play Marshall every year for the title? If you see big name teams leaving the ACC we might actually get in. It's been 70 years of no.That's because we will be leaving, it's only a matter of time.
ACC is not my first choice, and I don't see any teams leaving the ACC. Plus I think Marshall might be picked up by the AAC.Keep the faith man. Where are we going? CUSA? AAC will look to Sun Belt before CUSA. The CUSA is last on anyone's list of teams. As is the MAC.ACC is not my first choice, and I don't see any teams leaving the ACC. Plus I think Marshall might be picked up by the AAC.
Hearing UAB and Marshall is high on the list Yes football drives this thing, but the American is also high on basketball, and the Sun Belt has no one on the basketball side worth any thing at all.AAC will look to Sun Belt before CUSA. The CUSA is last on anyone's list of teams. As is the MAC.
You were not your momma's first choice either...but the clinic was closed.ACC is not my first choice, and I don't see any teams leaving the ACC. Plus I think Marshall might be picked up by the AAC.
Same here. Would we love to be in the ACC? Yes ..... If it is stable. But .... IMO they are more fragile than the B12 at this point. B1G ad SEC may look to expand. None of the remaining B12 teams are as lucrative as the ACC. Fsu/Gt/Vt/Clem any 2 to SEC. UVA / UNC to B1G.WVU isn't leaving the Big-12. B1G will not go after p12 team. Nor would SEC. Not a fit for either. B12 is picked clean by both. Maybe ISU or KU to B1G but they covet East coast much more.
That's not happening. Think La Tech, Boise, Liberty, Buffalo, WKU, UAB, Colorado State, ODU, Charlotte, Appalachian, and a few others are ahead of the list before Marshall. Their expansion is likely to be more about basketball than football this go-around. That's where they need the most help. Half the teams I mentioned are decent in both football and basketball, and many come from much, much bigger markets.ACC is not my first choice, and I don't see any teams leaving the ACC. Plus I think Marshall might be picked up by the AAC.
MAC is already situated well enough to be regional. Most bus to games. Remember watching Tamar Slay (and Marshall) play a game in Kalamazoo many years ago against WMU, and Marshall bussed to that game.Remember what I was posting last year about G5 conferences…
They will become more regional because revenue isn’t high enough to overcome the cost of travel
You can break it down to 10/12 schools into 3 different conferences
Not sure where the MAC fits in here though
Marshall can always go back there
But if not it most likely will be Marshall, App State, Old Dominion and a few others
Not going to see the AAC move towards this huge widespread conference
Probably Southern Miss, Arkansas State and UAB

Can pretty much solve C-USA & Sunbelt, by simply taking the two East Division conferences of each, and the two Western Division conferences, and just doing a swap. That would solve most of the travel issues. Sunbelt can be the eastern divisions (of current C-USA/Sunbelt), and C-USA can be the west divisions of both conferences. Mostly teams from Bama, Miss, Ark, Texas, and Louisiana in the west of each conference.
All those teams shouldn't be competing in D1 football in the first place. Now have 130 teams playing big boy football, and maybe 20 have a chance to win a future title. Really need to just get a group of actual fans, maybe a dozen posters on this forum, and reset the whole college football thing. Remove all the money, the contracts, and allow that to follow the reset. Regionalize the four conferences and have an 8 team playoff, with the four region champions playing in the final four. WVU playing in a Southwestern conference makes no sense, nor does Rutgers playing in a cornfield conference. Why on earth would a team like Florida International be playing in a division where there's zero chance of ever being a national champion?Ultimately the MAC doesn’t provide the growth that the SunBelt/CUSA does
So if those conferences become regional probably would be best for Marshall to get in with those schools especially Coastal Carolina.
AAC is in the same boat as those other conferences as well now
So you create 2/3 conferences with teams from those 3 conferences
I wouldn't bet on it. Nobody thought UT & OU would bolt for the SEC. But the $$$ thrown at these guys is tough to pass up. Have you looked at the SEC and B1G payouts vs the ACC? Money talks.UNC, VA, GT will not leave the ACC, Clemson and FSU will not leave for the SEC
There is going to be 4 Power conferences with at least 16 teams in them. PAC, ACC, SEC, B1G
ACC is going to get close to that when the RENEGOTIATE long before 2035I wouldn't bet on it. Nobody thought UT & OU would bolt for the SEC. But the $$$ thrown at these guys is tough to pass up. Have you looked at the SEC and B1G payouts vs the ACC? Money talks.
You're dreaming. It's not happening.ACC is going to get close to that when the RENEGOTIATE long before 2035
Are you that Gold and Blue dumbass cause you sure sound as dumb as he is.ACC is going to get close to that when the RENEGOTIATE long before 2035
That may be the dumbest thing ever posted on here.ACC is going to get close to that when the RENEGOTIATE long before 2035
Unless Notre Dame signs on that will never happen.ACC is going to get close to that when the RENEGOTIATE long before 2035
Lol... has anyone taken more bus rides than PiT? You are a typical PiTiot, don't know when to STFU.MAC is already situated well enough to be regional. Most bus to games. Remember watching Tamar Slay (and Marshall) play a game in Kalamazoo many years ago against WMU, and Marshall bussed to that game.

OK here we go.
There are only two true power conferences, BIG and SEC. The next three in rankings are the ACC, the BIG12 and the PAC12, probably in that order, with very small differences. We are in a power conference and likely the only one we will ever be in. If a spot ever opens up in the ACC it will be because they are desperate and may no longer be an upgrade for us.No power conference wants WVU, which is just another leftover. The ACC once again crushed WVU's dreams.
Tell us exactly what WVU adds to the ACC. Only things that increase the ACCs revenue not WVUs please.ACC is going to get close to that when the RENEGOTIATE long before 2035
What does WVU have to do with that post?Tell us exactly what WVU adds to the ACC. Only things that increase the ACCs revenue not WVUs please.
It creates matchups that people/viewers will care about. That should count for something.Tell us exactly what WVU adds to the ACC. Only things that increase the ACCs revenue not WVUs please.
